The good: the host was very friendly and attentive to our needs. The restaurant was awesome, in the top three of restaurants in Colombia. The pool was nice, and the staff was friendly
The bad: it is under the glide path of incoming flights to MDE so plan to be awakened all night. There was no hot water the first day. The shower is badly designed so it floods the bathroom in a couple of minutes. The jacuzzi, sauna, and Turkish sauna did not work. Eventually got the Jacuzzi working, but it took over four hours to heat up. The host is very nice, but he lives in Medellin and it’s not really able to do anything from there. This is a weird combination of a hotel and a condo, with some of the units being owned, and some of them being rented out. There are three or four towers, and each one is managed individually. There is a central reception, but then they won’t have anything to do with some of the towers, including the one we were in.
The ugly: there was only 1 roll of toilet paper. When it ran out, it was a tragedy what it took to get more. The host contacted the maid, the maid showed up, but did not have any and said it was not her job and that we would have to go to center reception. We went to Central reception and they said they don’t manage our tower and we would have to contact the host or go shopping.
This place had such potential, but the confusion between who is supposed to be doing what leads to a badly managed property
