Mount Sterling is home to this holiday home. Travellers eager for a bit of culture can stop by Beardstown Lincoln Museum, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Siloam Springs State Park and Weinborg-King State Park.
The location was perfect for us, as our function was being held at the fairgrounds just across the street! It's an older home, but has been totally updated. It was spacious for just the two of us! Communication with the owner was fast and easy!! Thank you for a lovely stay!!

I’m glad you enjoyed it! Come back anytime. Thanks again!
Traveled to the area for a wedding, and this home was just what we needed for two nights. It looks like they’re adding to the place to make it more homey. It was my husband and I with our four daughters. Having one bathroom was a challenge, but doable. The beds were comfy. It was very clean and quiet.
Everything was fine except a funky odor by front door and bedroom ??? To me it smelled like maybe the house had cats previously and maybe some lingering odor is in the existing sub floor ??? Other than that place was perfect!!
My husband, son and I came to Versailles/Mt. Sterling for my father in law's funeral. Having this house to not only stay in, but as an escape and respite was a complete blessing. The house was clean, inviting, spacious and had all the amenities we needed as a family traveling and being in a place away from the familiar during a really difficult time. We were thoroughly impressed with the communication from our hosts. They were helpful and kind every time we had a question or needed guidance (the thermostat was a little mystery for me, but Chris helped us from afar until we could figure it out). The house is close to Casey's, which helped for last minute needs, three restraunts ( including Tastyfreeze for ice cream runs) and a Dollar General and Grocery store. In nice weather you could easily walk. The especially great part was having two bedrooms so my husband could get way for some peace and our son had his own space to spread out. The beds were comfortable, the rooms spacious and the shower was robust, unlike wimpy water pressure in nearly every hotel we've ever stayed in. Everyday that we were in the area, attending to the details and emotions of loss, it felt like we were coming home at the end, instead of just going to a place to stay.If and when we have to or choose to be back in the area, we hope this place is available. It was everything we needed and so much more.
