Great decor and so clean. The Retro bungalow gives off fun vibes of visiting an older relative’s house or possibly your own as a child if you’re old enough. Very quiet neighborhood. Cleanest VRBO I’ve stayed at.
We had a wonderful visit with family and friends to celebrate the life of a beloved mother/nana/wife who was from Dayton, Ohio. There was plenty of space for all of us to gather after her memorial service to continue to visit and catch up. It was a very special weekend, so thank you!
The house worked great for our family with lots of space for us to spreadout. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and other kitchen gadgets. The house is located in a nice older neighborhood and is close to many amenities and attractions. We had a great time and would stay there again.
This is a very nice house. Super cool vintage decorations that make you adore whoever originally set the place up (in the 70's I'm guessing). Very clean.
Very clean and had everything you would need and then some. Some steps to get used to, but great place to keep a big family entertained. Management available if there were any needs or concerns.
Very cool property. Feel like Marty McFly going back in time to wholesome 60's home. Not our first visit. And we will be back. My only recommendation is that the owner update to newer/firmer mattresses. Thanks
We were returning to visit family and friends after moving away. This was convenient and clean home and worked well to drive to visit friends or have a friend stop by. Most friends were 80+ years old, so it was nice to have availability of rooms without steps. Unfortunately we didn’t get to use the sunroom or outside much as we would have liked, as it required going down a few steps. Also the basement was great, but underutilized by our group due to the stairs. Great place for a family with kids that are 6+ in years. Our only complaint is that the air conditioning was turned off and the house was 89 degrees inside when we arrived. We had a very hot first night. We would stay here again.
The photos tell almost all, but what I didn't see in them was the whole house intercom system that can play music through the whole house and allow you to communicate with people in other parts of the house. Granted, the intercom part didn't seem to be working, but the radio did. It was cool, because I grew up with friends who had these in their homes. It brought back memories.
The beds were pretty comfy, but I thought the king was a little too firm for me. There are plenty of supplies on hand: shampoo/conditioner, towels, some extra pillows, sheets and blankets in the closets. Spices, pots, pans, foil and plastic wrap are provided, but no zip lock baggies or storage containers. So, if you plan on cooking and possibly having leftovers, you may want to bring some.
There is a nice, enclosed porch in the back yard, (where smoking is allowed), nice yard with a swing, a grill and a privacy fence.
The neighborhood is nice and quiet. Folks seem to care about their homes in this area. Parking is tight. They do let you use the garage, but there is no opener available to put in your car (which is not a big deal).
The basement lounge was cool. The pool table was a nice draw and we used it several times. Unfortunately, the balls are warped and cracked, the cue sticks are warped, and some are missing their tips; but I mentioned it to the host, and I think they are going to do some maintenance and updating of this amenity. We had fun with it anyway. Good communication. 5 stars!
