Greater Raleigh Court, a neighbourhood in Roanoke, is home to this apartment. Hopkins Planetarium and Science Museum of Western Virginia are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit City Market Building and Tanglewood Mall. Center in the Square and Roanoke Fine Arts Center are also worth visiting.
This was a very charming place! The apartment was clean and comfy. The location was great!!!!! Things close enough to walk to and only 2 miles from down town. Irene made some great suggestions…we loved Black dog salvage (antique shop), scratch biscuit, Pop’s ice cream and soda shop, and The village grill (you can walk to all of them (all within 2-3 blocks). If we ever find ourselves in Roanoke again, we will definitely stay here.
This neighborhood was great! Wallable to almost everything we wanted to do. Downtown and The Star were just a short drive away. Irene was great when VRBO accidentally sent us to her other property. She sorted it out quickly for us and we were in our apartment quickly.the apartment was very clean and had everything we needed.
The apartment is in an old house. There have been some updates but nothing too crazy. It was clean and the location was great for walking to restaurants, little shops, bars or the park. Working with Irene was easy. She was quick to answer my questions.
Although the seating and the bed were comfortable the restoration of the house is adequate. There was a very nice shower but the sink is one that turns on automatically which makes it awkward when you're brushing your teeth or anything. The kitchen has not really been upgraded except for the appliances. It was lovely to be able to walk the nearby restaurants and grocery store. And we could walk to the trail along the river. That was very nice.
The location is perfect! Irene was great to work with, though somewhat slow to respond. The listing is a little misleading. A/C is a window unit in one room of four (not the bedroom). Regarding other reviews, the bed is the most comfortable piece of furniture, but all are supported by plywood (bed included), there is no where comfortable to sit. With a few additions this could be perfect (and garner higher rent). Remodels are in progress but do not adversely affect anything. It served our purposes, but had we known these details, we may have chosen comfort over location.
