The space
We welcome you to our cozy home on the Lake Superior shores! Hygge, a defining characteristic of Danish culture, is a feeling of coziness and comfort. We invite you to experience hygge here with the sound of crashing waves, the serene view of majestic Lake Superior, and the comfort of a good book or game beside the cracking fireplace.

Enjoy our large newly renovated large 2-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom, 2-floor end unit condo with an expansive deck and cozy fireplace. This condo is located within the quiet 32-unit Chateau LeVeaux, a vintage 1970s cliffside complex with stunning views. This rustic property and surrounding area is brimming with culture, history and original Scandinavian character. We hold pride in the historic preservation of our place and hope you enjoy the serene hygge charm of our home.

On the main floor, you’ll find the kitchen, full bathroom, and dining and living room areas with smart TV. Work remote with speedy WiFi from the large dining room table or kitchen high-top stools. Take in the lake views with lake-facing windows and two separate sliding glass doors out to the private deck. The perfect place to relax with a cup of coffee or tea!

The second floor loft has two bedrooms separated by a door for privacy: The master bedroom boasts a lake-facing window and a separate attached half-bathroom and closet. The second bedroom is an open-concept loft bedroom with a second TV and DVD player. Feel at home with Scandinavian-inspired rustic chic mid-century modern furniture and new floors throughout the home.

Please help yourself to the board games, DVDs, and books in the condo during your stay! Enjoy the smart TV and speedy WiFi. Make use of the two sets of snowshoes and "Up North" themed photo op props. All towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap are provided.

Take advantage of property amenities including an indoor pool, whirlpool/hot tub and sauna. Check out the common area lounge with billiards, ping pong, foosball, and movies, games, and books to borrow!

Take advantage of property fire pits, outdoor lounge areas, and grills. Relax on the spectacular upper level glass-encased deck with fire pits overlooking the lake. Access hiking trails right from the front door! Take the onsite stairs straight down to the shore for epic views.

You’ll be just minutes to skiing and golfing at Lutsen Resort, a short drive to Grand Marais, and near tons of stunning biking, hiking, and cross-country skiing trails in the area. There is no shortage of things to do and explore on the North Shore.

Please note: This condo is owner operated. Chateau LeVeaux is well-maintained by a full-time maintenance person and live-in caretaker.
Pricing includes state and county lodging tax, as well as sales tax. Please be aware of constantly changing rates that are based on demand for popular North Shore accommodations.

**COVID-19 Update: Our housekeeping staff is working diligently to follow the extra cleaning guidelines, which means we are not typically able to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs. Should you wish to change check-in or check-out, we can do so for a $50 fee which will go directly to housekeeping staff. **

We are located between Tofte and Lutsen, just a short drive to Grand Marais and the Gunflint Trail. Close to Superior Hiking Trail and many other hiking, biking, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling trails.

Free parking available for up to two cars on the Chateau LeVeaux property. Firewood, charcoal for the BBQs, and detergent for the washing machine not provided but can be purchased locally.
