Post Wedding Relaxation

Our son’s wedding was in York and we booked this property for the week after the wedding. We hosted family and friends for a few days and then had the place to ourselves. It was perfect! Quite with awesome views of the ocean and just minutes from York and Ogunquit. Highly recommend.

The views sold me and my girlfriends on staying here. Excellent spot to enjoy the ocean. Long sands and Ogunquit beach were both equally close. He beds and bedding were extremely soft and comfortable. 10/10 experience.

Magical getaway for three-generation family

The property is delightfully laid out, very clean, well-stocked with supplies, and perfect for our family. The view of the Atlantic is unbeatable--we had breakfast for seven every morning in the screened-in cabana, and we watched the lobster boat checking traps, using the binoculars we found near the fireplace. There are lots of games for all ages--all in excellent and complete condition--and the collection of books is eclectically charming, offering something for everyone (including a librarian) for the quiet moments. Very modern bath layout is delightful, and there were more than enough bath towels to go around. Plenty of storage space, nice high ceilings add to the open and airy atmosphere. Loads of kitchen equipment, good counter space, easy to work with multiple family members and kiddos. Easy drive to Short Sands, Nubble Light, and Ogunquit, and easy access to Rtes 1 and 95. The weather was perfect (I know, not part of the offer!), and all-in-all, our week at the Cragmere house was excellent. Thank you!!

Enjoyed ocean view and space to spread out

Great views of the ocean! We loved the lookout and screened gazebo room. The house was clean and updated. The furniture and beds were very comfortable and supported our large group. A couple of the bedrooms had air conditioners. The parking was good and the garage game room was a plus for the kids. The house comfortably slept 12, the other 2 were on a pull out sofa in the family room. Linens and towels were provided and this is unusual and was a big plus. The kitchen needs more pots/pans/baking sheets for indoor cooking. Grilling utensils would also be helpful. Going to the beach does require driving. There are several beautiful beach options in Wells and Ogunquit, during peak season you may need to leave early to get a spot at the beaches with smaller parking lots. We have been going to this area of Maine for over 30 years and are very well-versed in the beaches so this was not a big deal for us. Overall we had a fabulous vacation.
