The property and amenities were as described. Everything was very clean. It was the perfect spot for our four couples. The location was easy to get to. It ended up raining for most of our stay, so we weren’t able to use the hot tub or fire pit, but they would have been great under better conditions.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 59 Longwood did not disappoint! This is our 3rd year of our Aunt/Niece weekend in Galena, this year we chose Longwood and had a BLAST! The living room area is a little tight for up to 12 people but all in all we were more than happy with our stay. Can't wait for next year!

We’re glad you enjoyed the home, and we appreciate the chance to address your concerns. The front steps are inspected annually and have passed each inspection. Because of the porch layout, a railing cannot be added in that location. We provide towels and washcloths for the home’s maximum occupancy of 12, along with a full-size washer and dryer and laundry detergent. We share these details with guests before check-in. Both outdoor cans are for garbage, which is why neither is labeled for recycling. We’re always available by phone before and during a stay and welcome guests to reach out with any questions.

Longwood is a wonderful home! If anyone in your group has mobility concerns, please review the photos carefully, especially the wide wooden steps leading up to the front landing. The home undergoes an annual health and safety inspection and has passed every year since receiving its rental license. We want you to feel confident it’s the right fit for your stay, and we think you’ll love Longwood!

Perfect spot for a girls getaway! Awesome floor plan with bathroom for almost every bedroom. Super clean and quiet location. My only negative would be - it would be nice to have 2 fridges with 12 people staying, the one filled up fast - showers were leaking and water pressure not great but other than that, would stay there again!!!

Reviewer Comments: We loved the layout of this home for our golf group: plenty of beds and baths, large deck and porch, generous kitchen and dining areas, and a comfy living room. It was too warm to take advantage of the hot tub or firepit, but they are a nice touch. That's not to mention the shuffle board and pool table in the lower level. We loved it and would definitely stay there again!

We stayed here for our parents weekend getaway and it was amazing. The house was close to downtown shops and food while being out in the country where it was peaceful and quiet. We would definitely stay here again.
