We returned this fall for more biking following our stay at this home in 2023. Very convenient, easily accommodates larger groups. Hosts very responsive. We will be back again. One of our favorite locations.
Great location in Door County. Perfect room set-up for extended families vacationing together. Good communication before stay. Easy. check-in and checkout.
Nice house, big rooms, good location. Left a note with housekeeping that basement bathroom drain was slow and the chain on the toilet needed to be adjusted - needed to manually flush. We apologize; we broke the arm off the paper towel holder trying to replace a roll.
Having four bedrooms gives plenty of room for family. spacious living room adjoining kitchen and dining area. Lower level family room for just in case you want quiet time or watching something else on the TV. Back yard space and deck were also nice for morning coffee or afternoon relaxing. We all enjoyed our stay.
Celebrated moms 86th birthday with a great group of friends. Home was perfect for our group of 6. Lots of space, beautiful kitchen and room to spread out. Enjoyed!
Great house for a family or couples looking to stay in Door County. Those who are able can Walk into Fish Creek via cottage row and see great houses and views. Backyard is fun for fires on cool evenings. Plenty of room for everyone, full kitchen with ample cooking supplies. This was our third stay and the hosts are very responsive and easy to communicate with. Drivable to all the great spots
It was the perfect house for us. One bedroom on the main level for parents who are 95 and 96. Well stocked kitchen so we could make our own meals. Fire pit for one campfire. Every level had a bathroom and bedrooms. Only one small step to enter the cabin.
Family and friend get together for beautiful days in Door Country. Such as well-designed and appointed home. Immediate setting, overall location... It was just right. Important to note that, but for a long and very beautiful walk along Cottage Row, one can really only safely drive into town. In that sense the property is a little isolated. But only a little, as there are wonderful shops and a weekly farmers market essentially next door.
This property was all it was advertised as. The kitchen/dining area was enormous, and the table for 8 was precisely what was required for our group of 4 couples. The four bedrooms were as shown in the pictures - all with queen beds (perhaps could use new mattress and spring). The house is lovely, and was spotlessly clean. The location close to Fish Creek was ideal for bicycling, restaurants, latte procurement, and proximity to state parks and Washington Island. We had a blast.
Overall our stay was nice, and we liked the convenient location. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we’ve ever had! Just a couple of things that can be improved on, The kitchen floors looked clean, but they need a deep cleaning, our socks were black on the bottoms after walking on them while cooking meals. There wasn’t any laundry detergent to do the sheets on check out day. The mattress topper in the second basement bedroom needs to be removed or replaced. The couple in that room said that they rolled towards the middle making it crowded and uncomfortable. I easy fixes for the next guests!
This property was perfect for 8 adults. There are four bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms within three floors. When we pulled up it looked a little bit small and we were wondering how in the world we were all going to fit. But then we walked in and the home is just beautiful and spacious and worked wonderfully.
The house is centrally located between Fish Creek and Egg Harbor and was ideal for all that we wanted to do for the long weekend.
I highly recommend this home if you're looking for a getaway up in Door County. We will definitely be back!

Great Week in Fish Creek
This spacious four-bedroom house was perfect for our group. Located only a mile south of Fish Creek, the house was a great jumping off point to tour the penninsula. Four bedrooms gave all of us our own space, and the large living room and adjacent deck was a comfortable gathering area. The kitchen was fully equipped and we made great use of the Weber grill and deck. Comfortable, clean and very convenient. I highly recommend this house for families or large groups looking to avoid a hotel/condo/resort atmosphere. The only disadvantage is that it is not on water, but the beaches are just a couple of miles away.

Thank you for the supportive review after staying in my vacation home. I will add one small clairification about the distance to beaches. The closest swimming beach is less than one mile from my home and the closest town park to watch sunsets at the water is only a fifteen minute walk away.
Overall our stay at the Fish Creek property was fantastic. The layout of the home made it very easy for two families with kids of various ages to each have their own space. The pictures made the property feel a little dated but it was actually really nice inside. The location was very convenient to all the Door County attractions and we did not hear any road noise from Hwy 42. My only disappointment was the home did not have any supplies like shampoo, conditioner, soap, kcups for coffee, etc. I have become used to VRBO's having those staples so we were caught off guard when taking our first shower. I may have just missed it in the posting. I would definitely stay again!
This cottage is conveniently located right on Hwy 42 outside of Fish Creek's Cottage Row. You can just leave this house and run up and down Hwy 42 enjoying all that Door County has to offer.
The house itself is 150 years old and has a neat history to it for you to read when you get there. The kids enjoyed taking over the basement, and we enjoyed having the master right off of the great room area. There is a loft bedroom and bathroom that we didn't use but it could have accommoated someone else nicely.
In warmer weather, we would have been able to enjoy a nice yard/deck, and easy walk to Lautenbach's.
If you are looking for a charming cottage not on a crowded street and in the middle of Door County, check this place out.
Our family enjoyed our 5 day stay here and quickly got familiar with both Fish Creek and Egg Harbor. The market in Egg Harbor has just about anything you might need. The kitchen has numerous pots, pans, dishes, utensils so making some of your own meals is no problem. When staying 5 days, I always figure we'll have to replenish things like tp and paper towels, but other houses we've rented always have at least one back up. It's a minor thing but no extras here except what's on the roll, so bring your ownOverall the house was clean but the grill outside was so full of ashes and spent charcoal the thought of cleaning up before a cookout wasn't appealing. One other small problem is with tiny ants all over the kitchen counter every morning.I know it's the time of year, but I think there are ways to get rid of that problem. Overall a nice and spacious home with a few minor problems
Nice spacious house close to all that Door County has to Offer
Property is spacious and clean. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Great location close to Fish Creek, Peninsula Park, and numerous land trusts. Wifi is great and enables you to work remotely. Kitchen well stocked although the coffee grinder needs to be replaced. House is just off of Highway 42 so there is noise from traffic. You can walk to the Settlement Shops and the Farmers Market but otherwise, you are kind of land locked. Walking into downtown Fish Creek via backroads takes about 40 minutes and is nice to do but takes some planning. Biking on the back roads is also convenient but eventually requires getting back on the highway at some point in time if you are going to take a more lengthy bike ride.

Thank you Sandra. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We replaced the coffee grinder. Thanks for letting us know. Come again!
We loved staying in this house! The house was very clean and very comfortable. We had a slight concern about something and the owners were very responsive and very quick to help remedy the problem. It was a pleasure to stay there. We also love the location.
It was the perfect property for our family to enjoy the area. Large kitchen made for fun dinners together after days of exploring Door County. Kitchen is well stocked and there is a Weber charcoal grill outside. Plenty of space to relax and we enjoyed having the fire pit available in the back. It’s about a mile walk to town for those who don’t mind a hike back up the hill from Fish Creek.

About the host
Hosted by Jim and Torey Graham
We were looking for a place we could share with our large family and found this uniquely Door County home. The previous owner moved this classic home to this location and renovated it to its pristine condition. We are Wisconsin natives and currently live in Cedarburg. We have been coming up to Door County for many years and found this area to be one of the most relaxing places to visit.
Why they chose this property
This property is in a great location across the street from one of the best cherry orchards in DC. We are within walking distance of downtown Fish Creek and a short drive or bike ride to Egg Harbor. There are over one hundred acres in the back yard that are undeveloped, which creates extra privacy.
What makes this property unique
Nostalgic Door County combined with modern living makes this property one we want to call home away from home for many years.
