Sweet Rental

We stayed here for a girls getaway and attended a workshop at the Omega Institute which is an easy 29 minute drive. We had a great time and enjoyed the house and loved that we each had our own bedroom. The house is charming and has beautiful outside area. Very close to Rhinebeck for shopping and dining. Uber & Lyft services available and good WiFi too. Thanks for a great stay!

July 4th stay

Had ten staying comfortably; the age of the house lends ambiance but it was built when folks were smaller. Our 6' 5'' guest had to duck through the doorways; took it in good humor.

The house was perfect for a weekend with friends. Cozy, beautiful surroundings, lots of space indoors and out, and comfortable beds. We didn’t have kids with us but it would be a great place for families-games, legos, basketball etc.

My family of 6 including my 95 years old mother really enjoyed our stay. Very cozy and comfortable surroundings. We spent a lot of time around the big kitchen table. My son finally got the best of me on the outdoor ping pong table. Plenty of room to walk and birdwatch on the big piece of property.

Classic Farmhouse, Modern Amenities

We all (6 of us) so enjoyed the old farmhouse-! It was perfect for our extended family as we came from out of town for Bard's commencement events. A short distance from Rhinebeck, and 10 minutes to the campus, it worked wonderfully for hosting an 18-person dinner on the eve of graduation. The dining room, kitchen (well- furnished; wonderful knives!) and living room were warm and welcoming, and 4 bedrooms served us well. One challenge we had was elder grandparents navigating the narrow front stairs (we were grateful for the wider steps on the back staircase that they could use!). We would like to come back because we did not get a chance to enjoy the beautiful hot tub on the lovely back patio! Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Fall getaway

Six of us enjoyed a getaway at this historic, cute, comfortable, roomy farm house! The house had plenty of rooms and beds for all of us. The grounds were gorgeous. We especially enjoyed the proximity to Rhinebeck and Hyde Park! We would stay there again and encourage others to do so!

Awesome Moms' Getaway

Six friends & I stayed here for a little weekend getaway, and we had a great time. Communication with Mike was excellent - he was easy to reach & gave us a ton of recommendations for local spots to visit as well as info & tips about the house. The house was cozy & comfy, and we loved the quiet location. The town was a quick 7 minute drive - we had fun eating, shopping, & walking around. We would definitely visit again!

Amazing house and trip !!

Everything from checking in to checking out was so easy ! Michael was in constant communication with us before we checked in and gave very clear instructions for checking out. The house is on a perfect street not too far from town and other activities. The house and property were even better than pictured! We had the best time sitting in the evenings by the fire. We came here from NYC to enjoy some quiet and that is exactly what we did !

Great place for a family weekend

This farmhouse was a cozy retreat for our adult family birthday weekend. Ideally situated close enough to town, but quietly removed as well. One of the best equipped VRBOs I have rented - everything needed is there. Mike was an attentive and helpful host. Great experience all around!

Antique farmhouse with a great backyard playground.

If you love a rambling, authentic, antique farmhouse, this is for you. If you want backyard toys, you will be thrilled to find the sports equipment and hot tub provided. The location was very convenient to town, yet the house is surrounded by fields of grass and beautiful flowers. And the layout provided privacy for all.

Rhinebeck

My family enjoyed a wonderful fall weekend getaway at this property. The house was terrific. Plenty of space, plus some, for a family of four. My 4 year old enjoyed discovering the many puzzles in the living room and running through the expansive back yard. My toddler also enjoyed discovering the home. We enjoyed the hot tub and taking in the stars at night. The location was great-a short drive to Rhinebeck Village or Red Hook. Mike was very responsive and check in and check out was easy.

Just Perfect

This spacious truly magical home was just the perfect weekend getaway for our family. It is well appointed with so many amazing features. It is perfectly located in a private setting with plenty of space for everyone. And there are so many amazing shops and restaurants in all the small towns that are a short distance away. Host was very informative and accommodating. We would highly recommend this rental to friends and family.

Rhinebeck area Touring

We stayed for two nights with another couple. There was plenty of room in this quaint old farmhouse. The location is private and quiet. Although we did not get a chance to take advantage of them all, there are all the amenities that you could ask for. The house was clean and comfortable. It was hot while we were there and the in room AC units kept it comfortable. The location is an easy drive to downtown, Hyde Park, and the aerodrome. The owner was very helpful during our trip.

Nice getaway

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The property is on some beautiful acreage in a rural but highly accessible area of Rhinebeck. The house was typical for the region and felt like it had been the same since the 1980s. I say that because my parents had a nearly identical feeling home when I was growing up there. As long as you’re ok with not having the latest and greatest (and also lots of cobwebs) you will be happy here and enjoy everything the beautiful Hudson Valley has to offer. The homeowner was very responsive and easy to deal with and getting in and out was a breeze. Would probably stay here again.

A lovely NYE

This was the perfect oasis for our new year's crew - the kids LOVED the extra room and we all made great use of the fireplace. Beautifully cozy home surrounded by trees - not to mention the delightful hot tub which also got a lot of our attention. Would happily return if we find ourselves in need of quiet spot. Also, incredible communication from the property owner. Highly recommend!

Room for 8 adults

On short notice, we were looking for a place to stay for my husband, our 3 adult "kids" and their significant others in order to attend a funeral in the area. Michael's place worked perfectly for us. We each had our own bedroom, plenty of space to sit and talk and a beautiful back patio complete with sitting area, fire pit and great ping pong table. There is a very nice Nordic Spa hot tub that unfortunately we didn't have time to use. We did get a chance to spend some time playing pickleball and the large field was great for a quick game of football. The house is located on a quiet country road with little to no traffic. It is a quick drive into Rhinebeck or Red Hook. This is a beautiful historic house in a beautiful historic part of NY. I wouldn't hesitate staying here again if/when we are back in the area.

Great stay

Stayed over Labor weekend and we loved the charm and ambiance of this lovely country house. The house is super cozy and well equipped ...there was nothing that we were missing during our stay. Weather was perfect so we took advantage of the outdoor space, there is the backyard nook, huge field to lounge on and played a bit of pickleball. Mike our host is great and suggested additional activities in the area, the Aerodrome was amazing! we were able to take in the airshow and really enjoyed it, walked around town a bit and hit the farmers marked. Village pool is actually really nice, although we didn't actualy take advantage of it we did endup driving through the complex to see it. Walked around Ferncliff forest too and the best part is that all these activities are no more than a 7 minute drive from the house.

Cozy Home

We rented this home for a college graduation weekend/family reunion. The bedrooms/sleeping options accommodated 10 of us, and four additional family members who stayed elsewhere joined us for meals, hangouts etc. We had grandparents, teens and young kids as part of the group; the hot tub, ping pong and basketball, as well as the huge collection of books, toys, movies and games available, kept everyone entertained. We all enjoyed the "homey" feel, and appreciated that Michael is a very kind and easygoing host. The only thing for folks to consider is a set of steep, 19th century stairs. Despite the host's warning, two members of our group fell when (foolishly) attempting to navigate them in socks. No one was injured but it did create some momentary excitement. There is an alternate set of stairs to use, and one bedroom on the main floor for guests who can't climb at all, but the layour is something to consider if you have toddlers who will try to explore, anyone in your party with a mobility issue etc.
