Great Spot for Families Visiting UC

We had a great stay at this property! It was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The size was perfect for our family, offering the ideal amount of space to relax. Consistent, comfortable and convenient

Our second stay at this property was just as wonderful as the first. The home is cozy, clean, and ideally sized for a family stay, providing a relaxing and homely atmosphere. Being so close to the University of Charleston, made our trip easy and stress-free once again. Cozy house near the river

Great house in a very quiet peaceful neighborhood. Hosts were very nice, and even let us pick fresh veggies from the garden out back! Everything we needed for a nice relaxing weekend

Walk to UC!!!

Was the perfect location for our trip visiting the University of Charleston. Within walking distance to the college and central to everything else we had on our itinerary. Safe and clean, the bedrooms are large and the bathroom is updated. Hope to stay here on our future visits tot he area!

Beautiful place, location unbelievable, owners so responsive and kind!

I can’t say enough about the owners! We were “ meeting in the middle” with great grandmother 98 yr old, great granddaughter 7 weeks ago, and her mama, grandmother and great aunt and he offered to take photos of us , she brought beautiful bouquet of flowers, offer to gather tomatoes from garden, brought more towels, etc The house was super clean, unbelievable location near capitol, great walking, The only cons was there was no TV or washer and dryer which was not a problem for us but would be for some people. The kitchen could use a few more pots and pans. Overall, it was lovely and would definitely come back!

Nice home and neighborhood

Our hostes greeted us shortly after our arrival. We had no problem finding the key. The neighborhood was very quiet, the walk a block over to the river to see the capital building was enjoyable...not too far. The beds were delightfully comfortable. And we enjoyed sitting out on the little deck out back. We do have a few issues. First: the VRBO listing has "hot tub" as an amenity...there is NO hot tub. I'd suggest changing that because that is the main reason I booked here. Not exactly honest advertising if you ask me. The lack of decorations on walls or window treatments (even just a simple valance) or insufficient pots and pans and a few more varied dishes and glasses (juice size), a few more hand towels in kitchen, and even a dish drainer might make the place even more "homey"/comfortable. Perhaps the owner is new to BnBs or this is a new listing and "still in the works. Overall, not bad.

We loved 'our' guesthouse and felt well-cared for beyond our expectations. Our host, Susanne, communicated warmly and clearly prior to our arrival, and things went so smoothly we didn't have even one question for her while there. She and her husband have created a wonderfully welcoming home-away-from-home for their guests. We feel fortunate to have discovered this lovely accommodation so close to Charleston Area Medical Center, The University of Charleston, and numerous restaurants, most with take-out options. We so loved being there that we brought most of our meals back 'home'.It was spotlessly clean, thoughtfully appointed, and...has a great ping pong set-up downstairs. -- perfect for unwinding!We're looking forward to staying there when we have overnights in Charleston!Thank you, Susanne!Susan
