Tarpon getaway is located at the beautiful Crystal Beach area of Destin, just steps away from the white sand and emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Kick off your shoes, grab a drink and cook your own fish and shrimp. Three TVs available to watch whatever you and the kids want. Shopping, movies, restaurants and the Destin Harbor all close to the cottage. Master bedroom with king and queen beds, TV and bathroom. Twin beds in back bedroom with TV, adjoining laundry and bathroom. 2-sectional sofas in living room, one with pullout sleeper. 2 recliners.

Family time is best spent at the beach !

We had a great time at the beach house! Very clean and neat . It had everything there you would need and great access to the beach . We loved walking over to the beach at night . We felt safe there . Would stay again .

Great beach cottage

The 2 bedrooms worked out perfect for my son, his 13 year old son and his wife. The other bedroom was fine for my niece and I. Beds were very comfortable. Space for all in the living room and location was great for a short walk to the about the finest beach ever, sand was fluffy and clean, beach awesome.❤️❤️‼️would definitely stay here again

Close to beach, quiet neighborhood

Owners could take more care in cleaning the property (perhaps hire an exterminator as we killed numerous cockroaches during our stay).They could use the services of a plumber as well as the water in the kitchen sink drains very slowly (there is no dishwasher). Nonetheless the house was as advertised, quaint little cottage close to the beach with plenty of room to sleep. There is an issue with parking on the sidewalk and the owners are very sensitive about this, despite the fact that the neighbors on both sides of our house had cars parked across the sidewalk, the house to the right of us for the entire time we stayed there. Be aware that if you do this, the owner will immediately contact you (they live right down the street) and be very insistent you take immediate action. Seemed over the top, but since our stay was only a week, I don’t know. I can say this: the entire time we were in Destin (6 days) we did not see one police officer.

The host was very responsive and accommodated us with an early check in. The house was pet friendly and there was a good sized property for taking our pup out. The only complaints were that there was some dirt and grime on the appliance handles, light switches and some surfaces, and there were several light lamps that didn't work so parts of the house were very dark. The walk to the beach was very easy and the beach was enjoyable.

We felt harassed by the host. He kept reminding us he lived down street and he actually stayed right next door and constantly watching us. It all started on Saturday the day of our wedding on Tarpon street on beach. He said something about too many cars parked. We weren’t parked on sidewalk. Four other adults stayed with us Sunday night our last night there. And he charged us 400! We knew he overcharged and I texted him this morning and he couldn’t explain so We were refunded 300. He was rude the last few days we were there. It Was a bad experience and we are very upset over it. We felt harassed When our kids and grandkids were over visiting Saturday the day of our Wedding. And they only stayed with us the one night. He knew this! And we know would be charged but not that much! We will never stay there again!

Great stay

This house was perfect for our needs. My brother and I traveled down to meet other relatives for a deep-sea fishing trip. His 7 y.o. son/ my nephew decided he wanted to tag along last minute so this place was exactly what we needed. Naturally with 3 guys we weren’t looking for all the frills of a pricey beach get-a-way but we were pleasantly surprised with this little place. Plenty of room, great location (less than a 2 min walk and we could be on the beach), and in a nice neighborhood. We all enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend this place.

Older residence. Quaint. Attractive furniture, comfortable beds. Well stocked with everything you'd need. Firestick TV frequently lost connection making it difficult to watch a movie. Sheets on thequen bed needs updating.

Wonderful beach cottage

This is a nicely kept, older cottage with a short walk to the beach in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The latter rates very high for me when visiting new places. I love the laid-back atmosphere with comfortable outdoor seating: screened porch in front and patio with grill out back. It truly felt like home away from home. The hosts are very responsive, kind and gracious. Thank you for a lovely experience for our Spring Break week!

Great Tarpon Cottage

What a fun trip. The house was just perfect. Built in 1957 and loaded with charm. It is convenient to everything...shopping, restaurants, even medical care :-) The beach and access are just a few steps away. We will definitely visit this location again. Molly and Steve were awesome to work with and provided so many recommendations for local establishments.
