Adorable home, right off the main strip in downtown New Paltz, easy walking distance from restaurants, shops, churches and more. The owner was extremely responsive to all of our questions in a very short period of time, both before and upon arrival. It was an easy 15 minute drive to the Mohawk Mountain house, which is why we were in New Paltz. We would definitely stay here again!
My friends and I were looking for a rental for a girls weekend, and this was perfect! The location was so close to town that we were able to walk everywhere. The decor inside of the house was adorable, and we loved the outdoor porch. I definitely recommend staying here!
Nice house in a lovely street, walking distance from restaurants, shops and the SUNY campus. The owner was attentive and quickly solved a problem I had with the door lock.
The Blue Horizon is gorgeous , beautifully decorated and immaculate. Perfect location & communication with the host was simple. We would love to return on our next visit to New paltz
This apartment is well maintained, beautifully decorated, and perfectly located to easily walk to all that New Paltz has to offer! Communication with our host was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!
Cute, clean property with walkability in a great location! Easy check in. We loved the heated floors and towel rack in the bathroom. Kitchen was well stocked. Check this place out!
The rental is well stocked with high end and high tech equipment and amenities, and beautifully decorated in shades of blue. The location and driveway / parking is ideal for visiting SUNY New Paltz and surrounding area. The kitchen is stocked for quick cooking; and all basic cooking spices and cleaning supplies are included. Shampoo & conditioner, and hand soaps hair dryer are provided.
Absolutely loved our visit in this beautifully renovated apartment in this quaint older home… so comfy, fresh, private and quiet. The location is fabulous… just minutes walk to restaurants, trails, shops and the university.
Highly recommend and would happily return!
So grateful that our furry family member was welcome as well.
Thank you!

Thank you very much Lori. We are thrilled your family enjoyed our beautiful home and town. We will happily host you and your furry friends again :)
Pros: Cute space, walkable to local attractions, nice outdoor spaces in front and back.
Cons: Lighting in all rooms was very harsh. Couch was small and uncomfortable.
Great location. Electronic keypad was broken and host was not able to repair it during our stay - when we went out we had to leave the door unlocked. Portable crib was covered in cobwebs/ dirt and smelled musty (not stored in cover), and there was no crib sheet. Glasses had strange, musty smell and had to be washed before use. Could have used a few extra blankets on a cooler night.
We had a great stay at this rental. Our family went up from the Jersey Shore to tour the campus down the street. The location of this rental was perfect for both exploring the town and the campus. Everyone in our family loved shopping and getting dinner and breakfast in town. Interesting and friendly people and shops! The owner of this rental was very easy to communicate with and the place was just as we expected it to be on arrival. Highly recommend this rental!
Our stay at the Blue Horizon in New Paltz was perfect. It is exactly as described. It was walking distance to shops, restaurants and the rail trail. The home was updated, comfortable and clean. We didn’t cook, but it looked like the kitchen was well stocked if you wanted to cook. The owner responded quickly and provided clear instructions for check in. They were also very helpful with our questions about the area. Would love to stay again.
Blue Horizon was a perfect choice from which to explore New Paltz and the surrounding area. It's located within easy walking distance to the city center amenities. Parking is available in the driveway.
The kitchen is well-stocked with equipment if you wish to cook, but with so many delicious food options in town, it may get little use.
Communication with the friendly host family was very easy and self check-in a breeze.
When I return to New Paltz, I definitely hope to book Blue Horizon again.
