Location: Kapaa, Hawaii, USA (12 minute drive to/from airport, 1 minute walk to shopping, oceanfront resort centrally located on east shore of Kauai).

Whether it is a romantic getaway or a family vacation, we offer a great rate and location for this oceanview Islander on the Beach unit just steps from the ocean. Let the sounds of the ocean put you to sleep at night with the security of this second floor unit. Enjoy your morning coffee or tea on your private lanai. From your oceanview unit, you can view our lush gardens and see the whales at play.

At the Islander, you can enjoy a swim in the pool, ocean or relax in the hot tub after a day of hiking to scenic cliffs and waterfalls. Spend the day watching whales, turtles, seals, surfers, kite boarders or just enjoy the beauty and sounds of the ocean at our very quiet sandy beach. The Coconut Marketplace has shops and restaurants which are just steps away from the Islander. Enjoy a sunset cocktail at our pool side Tiki bar as you grill up your freshly caught fish on one of our ocean side grills, then enjoy your tasty meal at our picnic tables overlooking the Pacific Ocean. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores in walking distance of the Islander for your convenience. On the grounds or nearby there are activity shops where you can rent bikes, surf boards, boogie boards, kayaks, snorkeling equipment, etc. to truly enjoy Kauai and all it has to offer. There is also a very scenic walking/bike trail that runs along our east coast for all to enjoy.

This six acre oceanfront plantation style resort was totally refurbished in 2005. Our unit has travertine floors, granite counter tops, tropical style furnishings, and a mini bar area where you can prepare an afternoon mai tai and pupus (light foods). Our unit comes fully furnished with kitchen utensils, refrigerator, toaster, rice/vegetable steamer, coffee maker, electric frying pan and microwave. We also supply linens, beach towels, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, room safe, cable HD TV, Wi-Fi, etc. There several nearby laundry options. Both our room and the main lobby area are equipped with free Wi-Fi for your use.

Being self-managed we are able to offer very warm and comfortable accommodations at a great value for our guests! We have "NO" added resort fees, "NO" amenity fees and "NO" parking fees. Just what we were looking for

Just what we were looking for! Loved the islander vibe and the view from the lanai looking out into the ocean which also offered garden views from the condo. Glad to have some beach towels, beach chairs, and boogie boards, etc. to use. Great location for getting around the island. Our hosts were great, quick to respond. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed for 8 nights and it was perfect! Very nice property, super room, clean, nice amenities, 2 small refrigerators, just perfect. Don was very easy to work with and answered questions very promptly. The property & room are both super clean and right on the beach. The view from balcony was incredible. Can’t say enough and hope to get back soon! The Kapa’a location couldn’t be better. Long’s is walking distance, ABC store walking distance, Foodland is almost walking distance. Very pleased!

Everything we expected and more!

What a wonderful place this was for us! Parking was close to the room and free, the room was within steps of the pool and hot tub, and the pool and hot tub were within steps of the beach! The vibe here was perfect too! Tikki torches light the pool area and paths at night. Our room overlooked the pool and still had an ocean view. We could sit on the patio and watch the sunrise even! The unit is perfectly place on the island. Still well within the lush green beauty of the south eastern shore but not too far from the adventures of the west and north shores. Within steps of a darling shopping plaza with entertainment and a number of food options. I don’t have a single negative thing to say about the whole place and we will definitely stay here again! We highly recommend you book with Don!

Very good efficiency, great location!

First time to Kauai. This location was perfect for us-close to restaurants, groceries and many small shops. Also, the East Coast (Kapaa) was an easy drive North or South to everything we wanted to see and do. Room was very clean and had everything we needed.

It is a pleasure for me write this review... Very clean room with everything we could've needed... fridge, freezer, cable TV, DVD, WiFi, beach towels, sofa bed worked perfect for our kids, plenty of cooking appliances, dishes and utensils. More than enough clothing storage space, including a wardrobe cabinet with more clothing hangers than you'd find at a hotel. Really appreciated the use of boogie boards, beach chairs, and cooler. The room has a great view of the pool and beach, has a lanai with patio furniture and table. It's literally only feet away from the beach, and the Islander has placed reclining lounge furniture on the sand, barbecue grills at the pool, and flaming tiki torches every night. The resort is extremely clean and well taken care of. Loved our room and the resort. Coconut Grove marketplace has everything too... equipment rental and wide variety of activities throughout the week-- hula show, sarong tieing, farmers market, deli, cool shops. Don and Christina have thought of every detail and have provided everything one could need. They're extremely helpful, responsive, and detailed, and they share their knowledge of the island. Many thanks for making our vacation memorable.

Perfect place to enjoy all the adventure of Kauai

This condo was absolutely wonderful. Everything worked perfectly, was very clean and comfortable, and had the best views. The resort itself was beautiful, with great landscaping, pool and proximity to the beach (although swimming was not recommended do to high surf, but this could be different during other seasons). There were great restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Everything else on the island is a short drive away. Loved the the location and would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Central but beach is not really a swimmable one

The location is great, the room while quaint for 4 people is clean and functional. The sink is rather small for washing dishes and please be sure to have some dishwashing soap on hand. The pool is nice but the beach is rough as is very windy. There are shops nearby and access to other areas is great as Kauai is small but Kapaa is a nice area to be staying at.

We were very satisfied with our stay at this place. It was the cheapest yet the nicest of all the places we stayed in Kauai. It was very clean and well equipped. In the place there was everything we needed to make our trip more affordable and fun; boogie boards, a cooler so we could pack our own food, beach towels, plenty of cooking equipment, a freezer and more. The resort it is located in is very nice, and the beach is right there. We for sure would stay here again, and recommend it to anyone wanting to travel to Kauai!

We really enjoyed our stay at Islander on the Beach. The unit is extremely well set up with full kitchenware including rice cooker, electric fry pan, blender, pots etc. In addition the resort included a very helpful concierge to reserve activities with a discount and take out like ahi poki right there to supplement our meals on the Lanai. We loved the beach and the location which is walking distance to much of Kapaa. Don was very helpful to us in resolving a payment issue. In summary, we loved staying there. Aloha Faye and Shel

Lovely room in a beautiful location

Great place!

My husband and I stayed for a week in November, 2017. Don is really easy to work with and is very prompt, flexible and helpful in responding to questions. The unit is very clean and cute and well stocked. We used the electric skillet to do alot of our cooking. The view is beautiful, it's right on the beach with a lovely walk. The hot tub is a great place to visit with people. The bed is comfortable. We loved our time here and will definitely return!

Location, location, location; Amenities, amenities, amenities!!!

Islander on the Beach is a fantastic resort location on Kauai. Everything you need is within walking distance but a vehicle helps if you want to tour the entire Island. Unit 244 was attractive, clean and has an excellent view of the ocean ( and hot tub and pool). Plenty of room for my wife and I and occasional visiting relatives (my daughter and son-in-law live on Kauai-lucky!!!!) If it weren't for Christmas (and grand-children back (way back) east, we would have extended our stay. We are considering re-booking for an entire month for our return trip. I have already recommended this location to family and friends.

Amazing!! I will definitely be returning to Kauai and will be staying here again! Perfect location! Easy drive to each end of the island, conviently located near shopping at the coconut market place and down the street from the town of Kappa and Safeway! Gorgeous view of the pool and ocean! I could hear the waves crashing at night! The condo has everything you need, helped me prepare meals at home instead of going out all the time and saves me $$. Beautiful location and accommodations! Very clean! Also equipped with beach gear which was a nice surprise! I can't wait to visit again! Mahalo!

Nice studio

This was a great place to drop our stuff and rest our heads after our long days of adventure on the island. The pool and hot tub area are nice (they light tiki torches at night!), and we even saw sea turtles at the beach right in front of the property. It is a quiet area and property and there are several restaurants and stores nearby within walking distance. We appreciated the air conditioning in the room and the two mini fridges. We also took advantage of the DVDs and CDs the owners leave in the unit for guest enjoyment during their stay.

Nothing is out of reach here like great beaches, hiking, fishing, kayaking, golfing, biking, water falls, beautiful endless scenery, whale watching, dinner cruises, snorkeling, etc. Kauai has it all! We are centrally located on the east shore for easy access to whatever Kauai has to offer! Kauai is truly the Garden Island!!
