Arriving here before sunset, attending the Santa Fe Opera, then returning after the performance was the perfect itinerary. Next time we'll stay longer, for sure!
Newly on VRBO, with nice clean new furniture and utensils, comfy bed and convertible couch, nice linens, and just far enough out of Santa Fe to afford us room for the dog to frolic outside. Mo was very pleasant on the phone and understanding when our car didn't charge enough to get to Santa Fe on the appointed day. All around good experience!
The place is beautiful- a traditional Santa Fe adobe-style, has great closet space, great views, and is quiet. It is on a rise, and because of this it has better views than most locations in Tesuque which is in a valley. One thing the listing did not make it clear is that it is not a stand-alone building, but connected to at least two additional units. We had a problem getting a good nights’ sleep there. We arrived in the evening and tried to turn the heat on with the thermostat which was in the living room area, but it didn’t work. I contacted the property owner who offered to turn the heat on remotely, but that only turned on a split in the bedroom, not the baseboard heaters throughout. After about an hour, the bedroom was too hot and the living room was still cold. We ended up making a fire every night, and while that was nice, the warmth didn’t last the night and the pull-out couch had only a sheet and thin cotton blanket for it which left one of us not sleeping well every night. I would be sure it has been fixed before going again, especially if you need to use the living room for sleeping, otherwise you will be. cold.
