Cabin in the Woods Near Bennett Springs and Pomme de Terre
Private cabin overlooking a stocked pond sitting on 42 acres. Spend the day floating and fishing on the Niangua River or enjoying a day on the lake at Pomme de Terre. Then return for a relaxing evening in a peaceful, secluded cabin sitting by a campfire. Conveniently located just 13 miles from Bennett Springs or 24 miles from Nemo Landing on Pomme de Terre Lake. This cabin comfortably sleeps 6 with a king bed in the master bedroom, a queen and two twins in the loft, and a comfortable futon located in the living area. This cabin does not have internet, satellite, or cable in it as it was built to enjoy the outdoors. It does have a television and DVD player for that bedtime movie or for a rainy day. Cell phones work fine outside of the cabin but have no coverage inside. Property boundaries are marked very well so spend the day hiking and exploring. Not many reviews yet as the property just changed hands last June. The previous owner had great reviews and we promise to live up to the same expectations. One sunset on the porch overlooking the pond and you’ll understand why this property is so cherished. If you have any questions, concerns or special request please reach out and we look forward to making your stay a memorable one.

Amazing property that we enjoyed staying at. This was our second stay and we enjoyed just as much as the first! Tons to do locally to the property that make it a great overall destination!
We had a great experience staying at the little cabin! Walking through the woods, fishing, roasting smores and so much more made this stay amazing! We will be back for sure!
Fantastic place to stay for a weekend getaway. Host is amazing. We had a great time and everything was exactly as described. Definitely remembering this place for our next trip to bennet springs
We stayed and went during the day to Bennett springs and caught trout the property was very nice and peaceful just what we were looking for the weekend
This property was tucked away on a beautiful little piece of land. Everything was very clean and organized. There was plenty of wood for the wood burning stove, a charcoal grill, a full kitchen, and a TV with a DVD player and DVDs. Its also located close to Bennett springs, making it an ideal location to stay if you like to fly fish.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Truly very peaceful there. Everything was very well stocked for anything we may have needed.
Great time.
We plan to come back.
This was an amazing experience! So very quiet and peaceful. It was so great to see the deer and the super fat squirrels eating across the pond in the morning, recomend you bring binoculars. Very clean family friendly property! We had so much fun fishing and enjoying bennett springs! We will absolutely be back again it was hard to leave we loved it so much!
A great getaway in a relaxing cabin with a beautiful view. Everything was clean and tidy. We loved that the owner had everything to make a spaghetti dinner, including Italian sausage in the freezer. It’s great to not have cell phone service… no one had their head buried in their phone. Would highly recommend!!
My wife and I just stayed 3 nights at this wonderful cabin! It has all the amenities you need for a secluded, yet comfortable and modern getaway. We watched a doe and fawn get in the pond and swim around and play!! It was really cool to watch! We spent our days at Bennett Springs park trout fishing (only 10-15 minutes away) and our evenings cooking and relaxing by the fire pit! We will definitely be back soon!!
We brought our family for a weekend getaway and this home was amazing! It was secluded and so peaceful. The kids enjoyed fishing in the pond and just being kids in the wilderness! The property owners have gone above and beyond to make this place incredible! Very clean, well furnished, and just cozy! We adults enjoyed not having cell service or wifi so we could just disconnect. We will most certainly be returning! Cannot wait to be back and try out the wood stove!
My boyfriend and I enjoyed our little Valentine's Day Getaway! The craftsmenship of the inside of the cabin is beautiful! Lots of wood features and I love the bears and other cabin esc features in the decor. There is a main bedroom and up the stairs is a full size and 2 twin beds. The bathroom has a huge shower and his and hers sinks. The kitchen is stocked with little things that make it feel homey and you may have forgotten like cooking oil and salt. You may want to bring bigger cooking pans if you are cooking for more than 1 person.
