Birds Eye View is a private mountain home situated at the top of a ridge on 4 wooded acres with long-range views just minutes from Dupont Forest, Pisgah National Park, Brevard and Hendersonville. There are too many activities close-by to list; from amazing hiking, mountain biking, fishing, sliding rock, tubing, waterfalls, shopping, brew tours, wineries, Fall Festivals, Brevard Music Festival, Mountain jams at Cedar Mountain Canteen, Apple Picking at Jeter Mountain Farm or Sky Top Orchard, Live theatre at the Flat Rock Playhouse and more all minutes away. You may not want to leave the house though - Enjoy the cool summers, beautiful winters, incredible spring, or the fall leaf season right from the back deck!
The home is perfect for a multi-family vacation with three master bedrooms each on their own floor that all have mountain views, king-sized beds and ceiling fans. There is also a large kids' room with 2 twin beds, with a rollaway bed.
There are plenty of things to do without leaving the property. Enjoy one of the swings perfectly situated to enjoy the views, play cornhole in the back yard, explore the property for blueberries in the summer, play games around the kitchen table, play foosball in the kids' hangout, or a play a game of Mortal Kombat in the loft.
When you pull up the driveway, you will immediately be greeted by the inviting covered front porch with rocking chairs perfect for enjoying coffee or book on a rainy morning. When you walk in the door, you will be impressed by the 2 story views, open floor plan, and cozy living room with plenty of seating around the wood burning fireplace. The kitchen and dining area are right off the living room, so if you are traveling with a guest who is looking for something with minimal stairs, this setup is perfect as there are only 2 small stairs to enter the home and you can access the main living area, kitchen, laundry and master bedroom without climbing any stairs. Off the living/kitchen, you will find a deck with lounge seating and dining table for enjoying the amazing sunset views or a morning cup of coffee in the cool mountain air. The birdwatching from the kitchen is amazing and we will make sure that the feeders are filled before your visit (although there is no guarantee that the white squirrel does not eat it all). It is also common to see an occasional Black Bear, Deer, Turkey, Rabbits and even a few Bobcat sightings, so be sure to keep a lookout. You never know what you might see.
Just off the living room, the main floor Master Bedroom has a large 60" flat screen TV, an ensuite bathroom with a large walk-in shower and 4 separate shower heads including a large rain shower.
Downstairs you will find the full basement with a second living room with large sectional sofa (perfect for teen sleeping) a 65” Flat Screen TV with sound bar, wet bar with icemaker and access to the backyard firepit and swings. We have a cornhole set for your use as well. This level features a private master bedroom with King-sized Bed and luxury master bath with walk-in shower with rain shower head.
The top floor features a third master bedroom with amazing views and a 60” flat screen TV. This room shares a bathroom with the fourth bedroom located across from the loft. The upstairs bathroom has a double vanity and a tub/shower combo. The fourth bedroom has two twin beds and a fold-away bed or room for an airbed. This bedroom is a great kid hangout with a 35” flat screen TV, a foosball table and an "eagles’ nest" play nook tucked away behind a secret door and filled with toys, books and a reading area. The upstairs loft also has a Mortal Kombat video game and a desk overlooking the amazing mountain views.
The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook a family meal or Thanksgiving dinner and we offer a basic supply of spices, oils, coffee, paper towels to get your vacation started. You will have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy a perfect mountain vacation at Birds Eye View. Although the property is accessible for most vehicles we do recommend AWD or 4 WD especially for winter.
