Welcome to the Lafayette Room, a large stately suite that pays tribute to the hero of two worlds: General Marquis de Lafayette. As the namesake of our historic neighborhood and surrounding 30-acre park, Lafayette’s legacy of courage, partnership, and passion for freedom serves as the spirit behind our 1876 Victorian inn.

Located on the second floor, the Lafayette Room offers a spacious, light-filled getaway designed for quiet evenings and restful mornings. Guests can unwind in a comfortable queen-size bed dressed in soft linens—with a fold-up cot available upon request for a third guest—and enjoy a relaxed lounge area complete with plush armchairs, a coffee table, a writing desk, and floor-to-ceiling windows framed by classic Victorian trim. The suite comes fully appointed with a private ensuite bathroom, a flat-screen TV, a dedicated coffee bar, a microwave, and a mini-fridge for your favorite drinks or snacks.

this home is so beautiful. and the room is really sweet, cozy, quiet, and well appointed. i was pleasantly surprised and a little sad that we were only staying one night. if it's available, book it! it's a hidden gem of a place :)

Mardi Gras weekend

Good last minute booking for Mardi Gras weekend. Location was an easy walk to the Mardi Gras activities. I’ve stayed here before and the room was a little sparse this time. The room was appropriately decorated for an 18th century home last time I stayed here. This was a birthday surprise for my wife, I wish the room looked a little better for the cost of staying there.
