Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space in hard-to-find DC area property. Spacious, open concept space with full kitchen, dining room, living room and laundry area. Work remotely? There is a dedicated workspace and high speed internet. Like taking your dog for a long walk? The home is a two-minute walk to a beautiful green hiking trail and seven-minute walk to a ten-mile paved hiking trail both run parallel to running streams and have playgrounds for children. Enjoy a chilled glass of wine after a long day? There are several wine glasses available in a fully stocked kitchen. Enjoy yoga and light exercising while watching your favorite shows? Use the available yoga mat, yoga block and jump rope to keep yourself in shape while away from home. Like to walk to farmers market for fresh veggies from local farmers? Walk a couple of blocks to a local farmer's market every Wednesday or hop on a bus for a 5 minute ride to downtown Takoma for a seasonal farmers market in Old Takoma. Enjoy cooking Asian cuisines? Walk two minutes to a special Asian grocery store that carries hard to find ingredients. Have a young child and need access to 24 hour convenience stores? A 7-11 is a little more than one minute walk from the house. Home owners live upstairs and available to offer local recommendations and answer questions. Public transport is readily available and accessible immediately in front of the home. Four minute walk to several grocery stores, pharmacies, banks and restaurants. You will have a separate entrance with a smart lock for private access.

Cute place in Takoma Park

We were visiting friends in the area, and this was a perfect place for our weekend trip! The neighborhood was very charming, with a walking trail nearby for me and my dog. The apartment was indeed spacious, the bed was really comfortable, and we had everything that we needed while we were there.

Great stay near DC

This property meet expectations from the listing. We comfortably fit a family of 3 with 1 kid and a family of 2 with a preteen. We never had a problem with parking and were near metro stations to take downtown. The owners were friendly and very responsive. We didn't have to contact them with an issue, but they kindly dropped off our food when it was delivered to the main house. There were several sleeping options, a kitchen with the materials we needed. A heater and fan were available for our comfort. We would definitely stay there again!

very dissipointed would not stay there again.to be honest.

no heat except late at night, two doors to go through to get into the apartment runs right into the steps steep steps not very clean in the entry from the car and there is no parking in the front you have got to park across the street if there is a space to park if not you have got to leave your car about a block away and in D.C. to me that is not good.

We are very sorry to read your frustration. Thank you for your feedback. It is a priority to ensure great customer service with our rental. We would like to address your comments: during your stay in April, the temperature changed almost thirty degrees within two days and the HVAC system was switched between A/C and heat. During this time. To offset this temperature change and any inconvenience, in your rental we provided a large portable heater and portable A/C. In case a guest is unsure how to use these devices, we live on site and can provide directions in person or virtually whichever works best for the guest. The entire property remains at 72 degrees at all times. There are two doors to get to the rental as a matter of increased security and convenience. Once you enter the main exterior door with the smart lock, the guest has there own private foyer to leave anything you like (eg shoes, umbrellas) etc. Since you brought your cute doggie, this is an area to keep their leash and hang your coat. Then, you can enter the door to your primary apartment. We hope this added security and space offers flexibility for guests. The outside entry from the street to the main door is the exterior of the home and is cleaned prior to the arrival of each guest. Because trees surround the entrance, there are leaves that fall. We do our best to sweep and blow any leaves prior to guests arrival. However, when there is a very windy day, as there was during your stay, sometimes more leaves fall than usual. We apologize for this inconvenience. There is a parking spot immediately opposite the home which allows guests to see their car from the unit. However, if any guests needs access to accessible parking, and we are notified of this, we allow use of the driveway during the entirety of their stay. We completely understand Maryland is not always safe our guests safety comes first. Management lives on site and is available to address any concerns 24 hours a day when notified. Hope your dog enjoyed the treats and doggie bowl we left for him. Thank you for the feedback! We will be sure to use the feedback to improve our service. Thank you!
