We received a message from our host the day we arrived with check in information. The message said we could park in front of the building or “anywhere on the block”. That night, we received a$75 parking ticket for not having a parking permit. I immediately sent a message to our host who failed to reply until after we checked out 2 days later. Only after we left did she acknowledge that a parking permit was necessary to park in this street. Although she claimed that a parking permit should have been on the coffee table the day of check in, this is absolutely false. Further, her initial check in message made no mention of a parking permit and simply said park “anywhere on the block”. She only brought up a parking permit 2 days later after we had checked out and I requested a partial refund of $75 to pay the ticket. Her initial message was misleading and failed to provide accurate info on parking requirements causing us to pay a $75 ticket. I’m very disappointed with the host’s refusal to acknowledge her misleading statement regarding parking.
