Description embellished; Clarify before you stay.
While the property was adequate, the description embellished; there was no A/C, no "Hot Tub (or spa whirlpool tub)", and the "outdoor space -garden" turned out to be an unkept foot high yard with zero flowers, and some neighborhood trash.
There was a noticeable odor that smelled like cat urine. It lingered over the week of our stay. I mentioned this to the host early on; there was no reply. Apon our return to our home after the trip we realized our clothes absorbed the smell.
It was warm inside, probably about 75 or so, I inquired on the thermostat the first night and the response was basically, "you can figure it out; it is plenty cozy at 72 so keep it at or below 72". The last night of my weeks stay the inside was hot (still 79 degrees at 10pm). About 8:30pm I had inquired; the host did not want to disturb us so the window A/C units were not in the windows. The windows did not open, or had no screens; not that we would have been comfortable to have open windows. I had to go purchase our own fan to keep the inside bearable.
We noticed we could not shower without the 360 degree shower curtain rubbing and sticking to us. The shower curtian channel was a bit small. There was a rather small 5 foot tub; no spa/whirlpool, certainly no hot tub.
The outdoor space/garden in the back yard was unkept with no chairs, however to be fair someone came and gave it a 5 minute cut midway thru our stay; no edging; no trimming; no trash pick up.

Hi Brian,
Thank you for pointing out flaws in the listing. When we transferred from Airbnb to VRBO, there were unknown errors. We have removed the back yard (landscaper starts in June), the 3 minute walk to the park (it's a 5 minute drive) & that nonexistent hot tub.
Regarding the smell. You said it was dissipating & we never heard back. We thought it was just stale from being vacant while we were away. The next day, the caretaker stopped in & smelled nothing. The cleaner & new guests also smelled nothing. We're so sorry you had a different experience. We wish you had reached out while it continued happening.
Last, MN typically stays cooler through May. We installed two strong air conditioners less than 24 hours after you requested them & wish you had asked earlier. Those windows without screens were prepped for that install.
Brian, we strive to provide a safe, clean, comfortable home. Most of our guests love it. We are so sorry you were uncomfortable. Best wishes to you, your family and your Corgi.

Why they chose this property
