We had a lovely time and communication was great. There was a huge thunderstorm that rolled in on our last night and we got to watch it over the water together from the porch with our bourbon. A perfect way to cap our family trip!

Stayed at this location for a Bourbon tasting trip with friends. It was a lovely setting and conveniently located to both Frankfort area distilleries and those in Louisville. One plumbing issue was quickly addressed by the owner / property manager. It was a very comfortable lake-side home.

We were staying for a festival so we didn’t spend much time at the house, however it had plenty of space and was very clean. The only issue we really had were the bugs at night as they swarmed every door that had a light outside. Blinds would be good to prevent them from swarming and then getting inside when you open the door. Other than that it was a nice place with nice scenic views. It was quiet at night and allowed for much needed rest. There is a town five minutes down the road with a Kroger and Rural King for any last minute needs. If we had more time we would have visited bulliet bourbon right across the road. I would stay again.

Very clean and fun place to stay

The house is perfect for visiting the bourbon trail. The house is centrally located to many of the big name distilleries. It was incredibly fun to do distillery tours during the day and fish in the afternoon. Emily is a great host!

Perfect weekend getaway

Perfect place to stay for two days with family coming from 3 different stats. House was home base and we enjoyed the nearby farm and distillery, horse racing in Lexington, kayaking on the creek and just enjoying the house and property. I highly recommend!

Great House, Great Location!

Some buddies and I used this as our home base for a bit of bourbon trail exploration and couldn’t have been happier. It’s secluded and quiet but also close to various distilleries and restaurants. The house was spacious and clean with plenty of room for us to hang out and get a good night’s rest. 10/10 would stay here again.

The property was amazing. 4 brothers visiting the bourbon trail. We loved Shelbyville as center point of our visit. Lake and kayak’s were well used during the heat of July. For Bulleit fans, l you can see their property from deck!

Stay in Shelbyville

Our stay at this home was wonderful and the perfect spot for our weekend traveling around the area to different distilleries on the bourbon trail! It was the perfect location in the middle of Lexington and Louisville which is where we went for all of our tastings. The home had all of our basic essentials that we needed for our stay and was very clean and well kept. The views were amazing and we really enjoyed having our coffee in the mornings in the sunroom with a full lake view! Would stay here again!

Nice!

Hostess provided great communications. Well cared for property. Nice lake view. Close to marina to rent boats. Having a dock was especially helpful. Two Kayaks were also available for us at the property.

Great stay for bourbon trail!

The home is situated on a small lake in a nice neighborhood only 30-40mins from Louisville and 60mins to Bardstown. We found the location a nice place to base our Bourbon Trail trip from and retire to in the evening. The home was spotless upon check-in, had comfortable beds, and great water pressure; it matched the listing perfectly. We did not use much of the kitchen but it appeared to have everything you would need to prepare coffee, a meal, etc. There is also a grill onsite with a small area for a bonfire.

Perfect Stay on the Bourbon Trail!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home along the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky! The location couldn’t be better—super central to all the major distilleries and attractions we wanted to visit. The house was spotless and well-maintained, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. What truly stood out was the view of the lake off the back porch. Waking up to the calm, shimmering water every morning was such a treat. The peaceful setting made it feel like a true getaway while still being conveniently close to everything.Highly recommend this property for anyone exploring the Bourbon Trail or just looking for a relaxing, scenic retreat. We can’t wait to come back!
