Welcome to Duck Creek Village at 8500 ft! In winter, our cabins offer a serene escape, but preparation is key for a safe journey. Here`s what you need to know: Before you set off: 1. Get real-time road conditions and weather updates with Utah`s UDot app and Wunderground`s website (zip code 84762). 2. Plan your travel wisely and avoid winter storms. Once snow arrives: • Highway 14 may have snow, and our gravel roads will be snowy. A 4x4 or AWD vehicle is required, with chains recommended. • Snow removal is prioritized, but please keep in mind that we contract with snowplow companies who only plow after 6” or more of snow for driveways, and they will prioritize guests who check in or check out first, followed by groups who are mid stay. • Power outages are rare, but if they occur, contact management and we will provide an update on the situation promptly. Keep in mind: • Nighttime arrivals may find limited services, so plan accordingly. • While we`re a small village, we`re here to ensure your winter adventure is memorable and safe. For a stress-free getaway, call us ahead to tailor your trip to perfection! Your Host, Duck Creek Management

It was amazing!!! I would stay here everytime felt like home right as you walked in the door everything was clean towels folded for the hot tub everything was organized and clean! 100 percent recommend staying here!
This is one of the best rentals we have stayed in. The bed were amazing. The kitchen was stocked with all the things we need to make some yummy food. There was nothing better than sitting in a hot tub while it was raining outside. We enjoyed every minute of our time here. We will be talking about this and the memories we created for years to come!

Clean and Cozy
We had a great time in the snow. Cabin was very clean and comfortable.
Jacob was a great host who answered all my questions very timely. The house is great and in a wonderful quiet area. Duck Creek Village is an absolute gem!
We’re very selective where we lay our heads down to sleep and I’m so happy we chose this place to stay. It was very clean, organized and comfortable. The only down side is the upstairs gets warm so word of advice when you first arrive…turn on the fans and open ALL the windows. By night time it will be cool enough to sleep and by morning you will be freezing so keep the extra blanket near by. This is if you’re like us and like it cold…if you like it warm when sleeping, keep the windows closed. The kitchen was very well stocked with just about everything, bathrooms were VERY clean, great fire pit and it’s a quiet area. We will be back!
First time staying in Duck Creek Village. It was awesome! This cabin has everything you could need and the hosts were so thoughtful. My kids loved the hot tub and fire pit. The stars at night are incredible! Beautiful large deck. There’s even a hammock to lounge in. Very peaceful and clean. The beds were comfortable. Kitchen comes well equipped with whatever you may need during your stay. Just a short 5-10 minute drive to Navajo Lake. We’ll be back!

The biggest issue with this cabin is that it is NOT 2 bedrooms. What is called the second bedroom is a loft with a partial wall and a curtain - no door. This means that the sound from the downstairs TV is heard loud and clear. And it is impossible to have a private conversation from this bedroom as you can clearly be heard downstairs.Unfortunately, we missed that the second bathroom is downstairs, so whoever is sleeping in the second "bedroom" has to go downstairs to use the bathroom; not ideal. We stayed at the cabin so that we could visit both Bryce and Zion. Please note, that while the Parks themselves are both equidistant from Duck Creek, the main entrance to Zion is an extra half our away as the cabin is closer to the East entrance, which is not near the visitor center.Layout is strange - you open the front door into a foosball table, and the main living area is quite dark. Dining table is not near the kitchen.Hot tub was great!
We stayed at the Lazy Bear Cabin for three nights and loved every aspect of this cute little cabin. The kitchen is well stocked, the hot tub is private with a great view, the beds are soft, there is plenty of bedding, and the pellet stove keeps the entire place warm and cozy. We loved that we were able to include our dog in our stay because we would not have been able to make the weekend getaway without her. The surrounding area and the property grounds are gorgeous. We left in a snow storm so we were nervous to drive down the steep incline but did just fine in 4WD. We are grateful that the instructions were clear that 4WD or AWD was recommended. It would not have been as important in good weather, but is needed for sure in inclement weather. Definitely one of our all time favorite cabin stays!!
Conveniently located between Bryce NP and Zion NP. One of the cleanest properties we have ever stayed. The staff were easy to work with. They answered many questions and had great communication about any services while we were staying there. Kitchen was well supplied to cook with. The 2nd bedroom is more like a loft with a curtain, but served us well. The local roads aren’t the smoothest and are curvy. Definitely adhere to their winter weather instructions. Overall one of our favorite places! If we ever get to return to the area we will check here first!
Thank you for a great escape to the high mountains from the heat of the desert. The Cabin was very clean and comfortable. The check-in and check out could not have been easier. My only negative is the cabin listed quiet hours for the community but for two nights, a nearby property was having a party with loud music, cursing, shouting, dogs etc (i think they were playing horseshoes) well past midnight. Not sure who should be called, Sheriff, property manager, community management. Other than the late night noise, everything was great,
We really had a great stay. Even after the mountain got hit with a huge storm, Jacob communicated with us ahead of time to make sure we came prepared. We loved the Christmas decor and the warm lights of the tree inside. Cute bear theme and decor. Overall everything was clean and upkept. Loved having the hot tub and the pellet stove and extra blankets throughout to warm up! Nice nightlights throughout. The only downside for us was that the king-sized bed in the master was a little too soft for our liking. Purely a preference thing but slept well enough being away from the kids for a couple days! We would stay here again! Grateful Jacob worked with our timeline and allowed a two-night stay too. Great response time if I ever had any questions. Cute little village to visit too. Yummy food at the Chalet and Pub!
The property was nice and was as advertised. The reason for the 4 stars was that it needed a little TLC. When we checked in there were several things damaged in the cabin. They were not fixed during our stay, the blinds in the master bedroom were damaged, the shower knob for the downstairs shower was not attached. The pellet stove was not functional filling the cabin with smoke. The instructions for the pellet stove were not next to the stove as indicated, they were hidden inside the cleaners book. So we had to use the electric baseboard heat that worked just fine. Plus side the location was great for us about an hour from Bryce and an hour from Zion. I would recommend a 4wheel or all wheel drive vehicle as the dirt road is very steep. The hot tub worked great there were separate towels for the hot tub and a privacy screen to block the view of the neighbors cabin. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils. Wi-Fi fast/reliable.The cabin was very cozy. We had deer in the back yard often.A few mice running around at night. After the agency came over to try and fix the pellet stove there was no update on the condition and no more communication for our last two days. This was disappointing. The dumpster for trash is at the bottom of the hill about 1/2 mile away. There is an extensive welcome book with many rules and a few inaccuracies.Overall if you are looking for a secluded cabin away from it all with a great hot tub you will be very comfortable at this location.
