Traveling with a group of 15. Stayed 1 night again on the way home and there was plenty of room for all of us. Home was clean and had well equipped kitchen. Communications were fast and friendly. Would definitely stay again!
Traveling with a group of 15. Stayed 1 night and there was plenty of room for all of us. Home was clean and had well equipped kitchen. Listing was difficult to determine arrangement of beds (we are coed and were preplanning), but communications were fast and friendly. Would definitely stay again!
The property was nice and big enough to fit the whole family! Only issue was the listing is misleading. All beaches or rivers are at least 30min either way.
We had a great week at the house. Pauline was easy to communicate with and she troubleshooted an issue with us very quickly. We loved the location being half way between Munising & Marquette. There is also a small waterfall a couple of miles from the house that our kids loved. Plenty of space in the living room and kitchen. Very nice upstairs balcony. Big yard also with a nice spot for an evening campfire.
This was a great home to bring our family together for Mother's Day weekend. The location is central for many of the usual UP adventures. The kitchen is large enough for multiple people to prep meals and the dining area is adjacent to allow everyone to chat during meal prep. The kids loved the play kitchen and air hockey table. The yard was large and had a fire pit to roast marshmallows and keep the chill from spring's blustery winds at bay in the evening.
We used this as the base for the travel that we enjoyed during the ice and snow storm at the end of March as we were at the Marquette and Munising Seventh-day Adventist churches for the baptism of our great nieces. This was an excellent base with a not so excellent entrance.
This property was perfect for our small group. It had everything we could ask for and more. The Property Manager was an absolute angel and went above and beyond to make our stay incredible.
The location is great and the place is really good. It does require some overall mantainance, but I believe that is a great choice for big families to have a great time.
Overall, I would definitely come back again
We loved being able to have the whole house to ourselves. We were out most of the day fining things to do and see, so coming home to the house was very nice. We would definitely come again.

Beautiful place
This house was nice and clean, the only negative I had was the communication about the TV that didnt have a wire to it as well as the new internet that we had to figure out how to connect. Other than that it was fun and nice to stay at
A bit eclectic, but pretty clean with lots of beds
We were quite comfortable in this house. It was plenty big for our family of 7. There was only one shower - be aware of that if there is a big group. It's clearly an old house with some quirks, but the kitchen is nice and our kids loved the air hockey table!
Property is in an easily accessible location, with convenient day trips to hiking, waterfalls and forest. The property is set up for multiple guests. Some bedrooms perhaps overcrowded with beds, but it depends on your needs. We will only used the main bedroom. It had a nice balcony and view. Casual, not elegant, but perfect for our needs. Kitchen had everything we needed and property was clean. It was great that we could bring our dog with us. Communication was excellent.. cell reception not so good, but had wifi..
As we were traveling with children they expected TV at night. We would spend most of the day seeing site in the Upper Peninsula then eat dinner and want to finally watch TV. We used our hot spots to use the Roku TV. Which is useless without internet. There wasn't even an outside antenna to possible pick up channels. With different cellular services some of us had service and some of use didn't. T-Mobile and Spectrum had two bars and AT&T was luck to have one bar. I had AT&T and phone would go into SOS mode a lot.
So, if you are looking to be almost completely disconnected from technology this is for you.

Issues w/ host and house
5 adults, 5 kids, 4 dogs. 7 night stay. I had high hopes for this property, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing due to several issues with the home and the host’s lack of preparation.Issues with the property: The TV didn’t have a power cord, making it unusable. Host said they ordered one and were also looking locally, but I guess the package got lost and the stores must have been sold out. The air hockey table was broken, and we had to buy a replacement cord ourselves. Outdoor lights were missing, creating safety concerns. The attic room had a fly infestation, which was unpleasant, and displaced guests. Issues with the host: The host admitted they hadn’t done a walkthrough of the property to make sure everything was working before my stay, despite my booking being for a full week. Communication was inconsistent, and while they were initially willing to refund the pet fee for the 4 days we didn’t have 2 of the dogs, they later walked back on those promises, despite the fee being paid pet per day. Excuses about a new caretaker and other issues made it feel like guest comfort wasn’t a priority and is only focused on . While the house itself is lovely and has potential, it’s clear the host needs to take better care of the property and update their processes. Basic maintenance and preparation should be expected for a vacation rental. Until these issues are addressed, I cannot recommend staying here.
Overall beautiful property, just some minor things
It’s a beautiful property, looks like the pictures. Living room area was so pretty. As well as the deck upstairs! Had great cottage vibes, and I love how secluded we were. The heat, heated up the house fast. Theres plenty of beds for bigger parties! Just a few things we noticed and could use some work on were lots of flies. There wasn’t a trash can in upper bathroom. The couches kept coming apart, cushions sliding off. Room had a smell of moth balls. A lot of windows were missing curtains, in the bathroom too. That made it hard to feel secure. Lamp in living room didn’t work, as the plug in was ripped off and the wires were sticking out. Some trash bins were still dirty. Would be nice if there was more games, and a deck of cards. But really overall was nice! Thank you for the stay 💕
Linens were dirty to the point that our group didn’t sleep under the sheets. Listing still shows WiFi and tv yet when we couldn’t connect to the WiFi I contacted the property owner and she informed me that she doesn’t have WiFi. So not only did we not have WiFi in the middle of the UP but we also didn’t have tv since that uses WiFi. Normally not a huge deal, but with three teenage girls and no proper communication it was.
The only good thing about this house is that she had toys that my son could play with. 100% would not stay here again.
We had a great time. There was a few minor issues for us, but overall we had a great time, the cabin is lovely! It’s a very tranquil and relaxing place to stay! We had a lot of rain during our stay so we weren’t able to enjoy it as much as we would have liked, but we made it work, nobody can truly predict the weather.

Nice property. I like you can't see the house from the road.
