About the host
Hosted by Renee Kesner
The Kesner family purchased this property in 1968 after discovering the lovely Paradox Lake. And up until this year enjoyed the use of seasonal cabins not directly on the lake from May through October. After decades of planning, the year round lake house construction finally was underway and completed in October, 2023. In order to defray construction costs and keep the property in the family for generations to come, we chose to share our home with guests to enjoy Paradox as we do.
Why they chose this property
Paradox Lake gets its name from a unique occurrence - every spring due to snow melt, the lake flows in reverse. Loon sightings and calls are very common along with catching the occasional sight of the bald eagle that lives on the shores of Paradox. Watching the sun set in bold shades of red and orange behind the Adirondack mountains makes for a magnificent view.
What makes this property unique
The property has the longest uninterrupted lake front on Paradox at 1200'. The house sits on a promontory allowing for an amazing view of the lake and the surrounding Adirondack mountains.
