Helpful Host

This was our first trip to Puerto Rico and because there were 9 of us decided to use VRBO rather than pay for multiple hotel rooms. The house had enough space, was clean and the Lourdes was very helpful. You will need to rent a vehicle to get around the island and use Google translate if you do not speak Spanish. I liked that there was UBER for rides and food delivery. There is a coffee bar right next to the house on the top level that has amazing coffee and friendly professional service. The only thing that would have been better was to have more than 1 TV when traveling with kids or a large group. Overall the communication and information from Lourdes made this stay more enjoyable. Thank you for having us!

Nueva Villa is located in the Vega Baja "pueblo" (town, historic district), just a short 7 minute drive away from one of the stunning beaches in Puerto Rico, Playa Puerto Nuevo, as well as natural reserves like Tortuguero, Ojo de Agua crystal water, and incredible culinary experiences. For surfers and wave enthusiasts, we are also conveniently located near Los Tubos Beach, while snorkeling fans should visit Mar Chiquita Beach. Nature lovers and adventure seekers can explore the local Charco Azul, a beautiful system of caves, ponds, and rivers, or try rock climbing at Roca Norte. El Yunque National Forest is definitely worth the drive and is a must-see! If you're in the mood for some adventure, a drive up the mountains can take you to the incredible Toro Verde Adventure Park (ziplining, rope courses) in Orocovis or to the Cavernas de Camuy, one of the world's largest cave networks. If you're looking for an active nightlife, we are just 30-40 minutes away from the downtown and capital city of San Juan. If you want an active night life you can go to the tortuguero area, at min. drive away from the Carr. No 2 freeway, where you can find many restaurants and pops.
