Hello, my name is Ashley and I'm a managing agent for Coast & Country Cabins. The long and short of it, I love the Texas Hill Country. It's inviting, it's cozy, it's classic. There's so much history, richness and huge stories that just let you know where you are.
Vacationing and visiting in the Hill Country is a one-of-a-kind experience and I would love to host you here at The River House in Martindale, TX.

Why they chose this property
Martindale has a unique charm that's been around for decades. There is also a new vibe that deserves attention. From The River House, guests can walk to downtown Martindale, drive 15 minutes to San Marcos or 45 minutes to Austin. Martindale is a hidden gem of peaceful luxury with a convenient location to nearby cities.
What makes this property unique
First, its a 1930's historic home, lovingly remodeled and finished with the finest touches for a relaxing retreat. There is a sunken family room with sun room windows to view the river and outdoor dining area. The master bedroom is adorned with a roomy ensuite bathroom and large walk-in closet.
The kitchen is small but mighty with a sleek ZLine gas cooktop and oven, Williams-Sonoma cookware and everything you need for a group meal. One of my favorite features of the kitchen are the intriguingly beautiful countertops.
Original shiplap surrounds the interior along with original antique hardware on the doors and windows.
The bathrooms are fully updated with new tile flooring, showers, sinks and cabinets.
There's so much to discover on the inside of this home, but I can't ignore the backyard.
The pristine and sparkling San Marcos River carves out it's own space in the backyard of The River House. Enjoy time on the deck overlooking the slow-flowing waters below as the occasional canoe or river folk floats by.
Take a few steps down the stairs to the water and have a relaxing float of your own on one of our many watercrafts provided to guests.
