We Had an Amazing Stay!

I stayed at Casa Hola Ola with my mother and our family friends for a week this past April. We had the best time! The house is beautifully furnished and is equipped with everything you could ever want. It's very spacious and we felt super comfortable and at home the whole week. The open-concept design offers stunning views of the ocean. We loved that the house was on the beach AND also had a pool. The pool bar was a nice perk :) The pool is a great option if you don't feel like swimming in the waves. One of our favourite things was going to the market in town. This excursion is definitely worth it. We did it a few times to pick up ingredients for the chef to prepare our meals. Lumi's cooking was incredible!! Some of the best, most authentic Mexican I've ever had. We loved Casa Hola Ola and would definitely recommend it!

FANTASTIC! A Very Special Place.

A beautiful house on a spectacular beach. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The Oaxacan cook prepared excellent meals. The owner Mimi organized everything extremely well so that the food was chosen and purchased before our arrival. The swimming pool area is gorgeous. You can walk on the beach for miles and see only one or two other people and no vendors or hawkers. The vicinity of the house is safe and clean. A fabulous vacation and we will return.

Breathtaking

From the moment we arrived through the gated entry and saw the beautiful flowers and water views I knew this was a must do again vacation ... simplicity mixed with stunning architecture and views not to mention a private chef . Surfing right outside your front door and so close to all . Close proximity to zicatela , la punta and tres Blanca ... we will be back !!!!! Mucho gracious !!!!!

Amazing!

We spent ten days at Casa Hola Ola with four teenagers (our two children and two friends). We couldn't have been happier with everything. The house is huge, beautiful, well-cared for, comfortable, and in a perfect location on the beach. The beach is exceptional - swimming and boogie boarding were outstanding. Hector, Lumi, and the staff were unbelievable hosts and Lumi's cooking is better than any five star restaurant. We were truly spoiled. I couldn't recommend Casa Hola Ola more. It's a magical place, thanks for sharing it with us Mimi!

The Vacation of a Lifetime

Our family has just returned from a stay at this amazing beach house and we can't stop talking about it! We felt like we were in our own private paradise! From the delicious, traditional Mexican dishes prepared with fresh local produce by Hector and Lumi, to the expansive, empty beach, to the perfect weather and spectacular sunsets, we were continually pinching ourselves to make sure it was real. The casa is designed so that it is open to the ocean and the beautiful breezes kept everything at the perfect temperature. The décor is modern and spacious and the casa has every possible convenience. The staff was friendly and very competent; everything was exceptionally clean and all our needs were taken care of. We hiked, biked, surfed in the waves, snorkeled at local coves and took long walks on the beach. It was so relaxing to float in the infinity pool and then to watch the sunset from the loft. The only way that we could bear to leave was because we knew we would be back! For the vacation of a lifetime, we would highly recommend the incredible experience of Casa Hola Ola.

Casa Hola Hola is spectacular!

The property is in a gated community about 80 minutes from Huatulco. As you go through the gates and up the path you are treated to a breath-taking view of the ocean through the open concept architecture. My room was in a separate building just off the main walkway. The room was a nice size and the king-sized bed extremely comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was very clean and modern. Hector and Lumi are the resident staff who are available to look after your every need. They cooked authentic Mexican cuisine for us every night and honored any special dietary requests we made. The food was outstanding and everything was so fresh! In addition we had special cocktails every evening as we enjoyed the sunset from the raised patio. Sometimes we would swim in the huge lap-pool or walk along the private beach. We enjoyed fantastic cycling excursions every day and visited the town for jugo and browsing. You could relax and hide away or partake of the lively flavor of Mexico just a few minutes away by car. I had an amazing time there and can't wait to go back!

Oceanside Paradise!

I have never slept so soundly in my life as when staying at the superb Casa Hola Ola. The luxury of the oceanside bedroom, with a cool breeze and the gentle sound of breaking surf is something I can never forget, and long to experience again. Everything else about CHO is equally superb - design and finishes straight out of Architectural Digest, and real (!) authentic south-Mexican cuisine to die for, made from the freshest possible (straight out of the ground or ocean) ingredients. Miles of pristine and mostly empty beach, fantastic recreation (my friends and I enjoyed incredible road and mountain bike rides), Puerto Escondido just down the road. I lived like a King! What an experience!

Spectacular oceanfront hacienda

Spectacular setting. The home is out of this world. No detail was spared in designing this masterpiece. Wide open views of the Pacific from everywhere in the house. The service was first rate. Delicious local cuisine prepared and served by Hector and Lumi. The royal treatment all round. The location is far enough from nearby Puerto Escondido to ensure a virtually private oceanfront beach. If you're into cycling, there are countless gorgeous rides in every direction. A perfect escape...loved every minute!

Over the top luxurious, relaxing and easy.

This home is in a exclusive gated and guarded community 11km from town. The property has several buildings with an open air concept with no glass windows and soaring palapa roof, marble floors and tastefully decorated walls. The kitchen is huge with high end appliances. The generous space and orientation towards the ocean with edgeless pool and sunset viewing platforms make this very relaxing. The beach is wide and walking along it is very interesting. There are few if any people to be seen. We had staff which prepared expert healthful meals and did cleaning and laundry. Be sure to ask for that as it adds to the relaxation. We biked and swam and toured the city of Puerto for fun. I would recommend this house highly to a friend or relative.

Go with the Flow!

Its hard to judge a property by the pictures (and the pics are a bit out of date because its even prettier now), so we didn't really know what to expect. This place exceeded our expectations and it works really well. Its beautiful, functional, comfortable and well-staffed. To call the location pristine is an understatement; its far enough from town to be secluded and close enough to make it easy to run in for dinner or other entertainment. Play and walk on the huge, clean beach. Watch the sun rise and set. Enjoy the pool. Eat great food. Lay under the palms. Explore the mountains and towns. Read a book. Ride a bike. Hide someplace quiet. We did it all. What a great place and relaxing experience.

A dream

I visited Casa Hola Ola for one week with friends and had an incredible time. It was everything that I hoped it would be (and more) and I truly felt like I was in heaven the entire time! The highlight for me was probably the natural environment - it is in a beautiful part of the world, impossible not to feel very relaxed there! The house is absolutely stunning and is equipped with every amenity. It is very spacious and very comfortable, with lots of beautiful natural light. It is located right on a beautiful private beach with a gorgeous view. I really enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks on the observation deck and swimming in the pool (two discrete outdoor showers made it very easy to switch from swimming in the ocean to floating in the pool). The bedrooms were very spacious and pretty, and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and kind and kept the house extremely clean. The food was INCREDIBLE, made by the very talented Lumi with lots of fresh Oaxacan ingredients. There was lots of variety in the meals that were prepared and they were always delicious. There were lots of fun activities and areas to explore nearby. I particularly enjoyed surfing, exploring the local market, and a dolphin watching tour. All in all it was a wonderful vacation.

Tranquil, Fresh, Space, Luxury and Nature

This is a super stunning home with main rooms overlooking the ocean, great modern features, the staff headed by Hector and Lumi are wonderful and the home is picturesque, the sunrise and the sunsets at either end of the huge, mostly empty beach. The lap pool in natural tones blends straight into the sands and ocean. Beds and bathrooms decorated soft and earthy for comfort and style. Everything was easily arranged and we totally recommend this home for a holiday anyone would be happy and relaxed amongst beautiful art and lots of free space. 5 stars for cleanliness and lovely quality sheets and towels, kichenware, serving ware and decor

Casa Hola Ola es especial para mi, en ella efectuamos hace ya un anio nuestra boda, donde pudimos vivir una experiencia inigualable con mis amigos. fue tan especial que pudimos ver ballenas. Para mi es el mejor lugar para descansar y estar en contacto con la naturaleza, en esta casa he visto los mejores arcoiris, atardeceres, delfines, tortugas desovando,.... y ya despues de un anio tengo el privilegio de ir con mi hija y mi esposo a contemplar las olas y los aterdeceres con los que todos soniamos tener un dia, si tienes la oportunidad...vive la experiencia.

Dream house at dream location

We spent a wonderful week in this beautiful and comfortable place! It was like having our own private five star resort. :-) The location is amazing, right on the longstretched beach. We walked or jogged for hours along the ocean - both directions - without almost no other people around. And the house is just wonderful - nothing but style and comfort, both indoors and outside! We stayed in the two master bedrooms, sleeping like babies in nice beds with the sound of the sea putting us to sleep and waking up to stunning views when sliding open the walls to the terrace. The rest of the house is a wonderful open space, perfect for socialising and and with that great view everywhere. It is all new, clean and top quallity, the staff is very friendly and the food great! Though it is only a short drive into Puerto Escondido, we ended up staying 'at home' more than expected. Enjoying the relaxing atmosphere, the great pool area, the sunsets from the upper level terrace and the local cooking. But we also did great bike riding, dolphing watching by boat - so much fun! - and markets, restaurants and bars in town. We did not want to leave this place!

Living Big

Spent a week at this house in January... House is spectacular.. it's brand new and meticulously maintained. The beach is huge with hardly anyone on it... I felt like a movie star... The house is extremely comfortable, and everything that one needs is there. it is an "open concept " house, with full access to the pool and the beach from just about everywhere you look... I only wish we had our kids and our friends there. it can easily accommodate several couples or a large family. We opted to have the chef cook most of our meals for us.. and it was fantastic.. he went into town everyday, bought fresh fish, and fresh produce every day and cooked fantastic meals for us every day.. There are two huge bedrooms facing the beach and the pool and four large bedrooms with partial views.. there is also a media room where you can watch movies at night, which was a lot of fun... But the biggest attraction by far was watching the sunsets every night and seeing whales breach offshore, as if on cue... would definitely come back here..

paradise........

Incredible property on an amazing deserted beach, yet only a short drive to puerto. Best holiday ever, doing lengths while whale watching. The decor is sooo appropriate, and the open concept allows for continuous breezes to keep the house cool. The staff, Hector and his wife were super helpful and kept the place spotless. The owners of the property were very helpful and responded quickly to any questions I had. Very highly reccomended !!!

Gorgeous property, like being in Paradise!

Casa Hola Ola felt like being in Paradise. It is a magnificent and beautiful house with all amenities. The house is beautifully decorated and very modern. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and the most beautiful granite counter and tile work imported from Europe. It is very large and comfortable. The bedrooms have very comfortable beds with large private bathrooms. It is located right on the beach and has a gorgeous swimming pool. The view from the house and the magnificent sunsets cannot be described in words. You have to see it to believe it. In the mornings we opened our bedroom shutters and we were almost at the beach, admiring the beautiful colors of the sky and the sea. We really enjoyed being there and had an incredible time. We took long walks along the beach everyday, we visited the Puerto Escondido market where you can buy all kinds of delicious fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and cheeses. We visited nearby beaches, walked and did some shopping in the town, and visited a lake. We also took a boat tour to watch dolphins and sea turtles. We were surprise to see many dolphins swimming together and jumping right next to our boat. Puerto Escondido is a nice town with very friendly and peaceful people. The staff at the house was very friendly and helpful and the cook was magnificent. I have recommended casa Hola Ola to all my friends here in California. It was a very relaxing and fun vacation.

The Perfect Private Paradise!

We spent a week at this property during our holidays in December (2013). We (I was traveling with my Boyfriend and his Family) had a great time and I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun & luxurious vacation. The location of the house is perfect. You are right on a beautiful, private sandy beach that actually stretches for miles. Even though we were staying here over the Christmas holidays, we hardly ever saw others on the beach. We swam in the Ocean, right in front of the property, every day. We even tried Boogieboarding in the waves! The pool area was also amazing for swimming in. It is large enough to swim laps...although I mainly used it to relax in while enjoying a cerveza (the pool has a swim up bar!). The house is beautifully designed. It is open, bright and very clean. The kitchen and main room are spacious and there are several seating areas throughout. The large granite island in the kitchen was great for eating at during breakfast and the dinning room table was perfect for dinner. We normally chose to eat lunch at the outdoor table closer to the pool, so we could take in the sunshine and enjoy the view of the Ocean. My favourite part of the house was the bedroom suite. I was staying in one of the two Master Bedrooms. From our room we had an amazing view of the pool area and garden, and we could even see out to the Ocean! During the day we always kept the doors open to enjoy the view and sunshine, and at night we chose to have the staff close the roll-away doors to give us greater privacy. The private washroom in our master suite was clean and stylish with an open design. This property is located about a 15 min taxi ride from the town. During our one week stay we went into Puerto Escondido on several days to go shopping/visit the market, as well as enjoy the local restaurants and bars. On two separate days we took surf lessons at La Punta, Playa Zicatela (so much fun!). We also drove into the Mountains and went on a hike to a breathtaking waterfall! My personal favourite activity was going dolphin watching (we did a tour with Omar's Sport Fishing and Dolphin Watching), where we actually got so close that a school of dolphins was swimming directly beside and under our boat!
