This 3 bedroom condo located on beautiful Playa Serena Beach is part of Playa Serena Resort gated beachfront community. This beautiful condo is located right ON the beach. Playa Serena Beach, named as one of the top 5 most beautiful beaches in Panama!!

The very large outdoor patio of this 19th floor home gives you have a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean and a spectacular mountain view as well. The beach is right outside and has very comfortable accommodations with beach umbrella tables (palapas) and comfortable chairs of several types.

The condo is newly remodeled w/ all appliances, split A/C units in each room. Hi-speed WiFi throughout the condo. The full kitchen is complete with all of the pots, pans, dishes small and large appliances and silverware you could possibly need. We will comfortably accommodate up to 6 people.

Playa Serena has a pool, equipped exercise room, game room and a take-a-book, leave-a-book library.

COME ENJOY PANAMA!!! BUT BE WARNED, YOU MAY NEVER WANT TO LEAVE!!!

Coronado is just 3 km away with a walk in health center, Catholic Church, Synagogue, Banks and 4-24-hour Super Markets with Pharmacies.

Nearby you can travel to El Valle mountain village with: Thermal Springs, Treetop aerial ride, peaceful mountain forest trails and Handicrafts and Farmers markets.

You can drive or take tours of the Panama Canal, or visit nearby towns and enjoy natural tropical settings, Rain forests, Ecotourism. We can give you contact information for tour guides and more.

Additional details: Our condo is a fully equipped home with bedding, bath towels and beach towels, wash cloths and kitchen towels are provided. Simply put; we spend a lot of time in Panama and when we’re in Panama, we want all of the amenities we’re used to when living in the U.S. Our guests are afforded the same amenities that we use when we’re here.

We have stayed at some rentals that just were not what they advertised. When you arrive, if you don't find something that was promised, contact the manager and contact us right away also. We want our guests to thoroughly enjoy their stay.
You will find no other hidden costs or fees associated with this listing.

There is a parking space inside the parking garage after you pass by the guard at the roadside gate so if you have a rental vehicle (or your own vehicle) we do have 1 parking space that is included with your stay.

We really love Panama and we really love Playa Serena and the beach and surrounding area and we're sure that you will love it also.

Tom and Karen were the most gracious hosts. If I could rate them 10 out of 5 I would. The property is immaculate and well maintained. The furnishings were high quality and very comfortable. Just like home

I have stayed in many VRBO rentals. I have never stayed in one with everything I need already there. There was spices, Ziploc bags, multiple condiments in the refrigerator, shampoo and conditioner, etc... I felt comfortable to leave items for the next guest knowing that they would benefit from not wasting supplies. The unit had tremendous views in four directions which are phenomenal. The people who you meet in the elevator, around the pool, and the service workers were all wonderful. I can't say enough about the owners, manager, and the total experience. Top knn

Great location right on the beach. I enjoyed everything about the place except for the fact that the entire building was without gas the entire time I was there. There was some sort of inspection that was going on and it wasn’t completed when I was there. This meant I had no hot water and no stove. I usually cook on my trips so I ended up having to eat out exclusively. Other than that, I enjoyed the condo a lot.

Overall very nice but unexpected view

Overall a very nice and clean unit! Excellent detailed and rapid communication from and with the owner. 8 pages of notes and tips about the unit and surrounding area! The owners go above and beyond in providing items such as towels, kitchen utensils, soap, etc. even including a cell phone! When the Wi-Fi password didn’t work we sent an email to the owner who responded within minutes and fixed the issue (minor password typo)… the fast communication made this a non-event. Great location for exploring the area. We didn’t use the pool or common area, although they both looked very nice. Very nice walk on the beach. Take care as the black sand gets very hot in the sun! The was a no gas due to a required safety inspection, so no hot water, no stove/oven, and no dryer. The owners were notified a couple weeks prior to our visit and they called to inform us. We used the provided gas grill to cook. It might have been nice to receive a bit of a discount or partial refund but the situation was out of their control. 1 small power outage for about 15 min… this is expected in Panama and was not an issue. An unexpected item was the view from the balcony and master bedroom. The adjacent building is located very close to the unit and directly between it and the beach, blocking about 80% of the view. I wish this was included in the owners description or that there were better pictures showing the adjacent building in the posting.

The condo was awesome ! Clean and very well equipped with lots of extras. The view from the balcony is great. The entire facility is first class. Short car/cab ride to shopping and restaurants. Great beach that stretches for miles and a really nice condo pool and cabana area. Condo had everything for a great vacation. Tom was a great host and provided detailed information on everything. A beautiful oasis

We arrived at Tom and Karen’s condo on April 7th 2019 and stayed in their well-appointed condo for 3 wonderful weeks. Our son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren joined us for one week and there was more than ample room. The condo was everything that Tom and Karen said it would be and more. The condo is beautifully decorated with local Indigenous art. All the appliances worked perfectly. Made use of all the amenities of the building, including fitness room, great pool overlooking the ocean and, yes, even an elevator to bring you to the beautiful black sand beach that sparkles like diamonds. It provided hours of fun for our granddaughter who collected shells. You can hear the sound of the waves throughout the condo. We literally took all our meals outside on the balcony. The views are breathtaking and always a nice breeze from the ocean to make al fresco dining comfortable. The BBQ was much appreciated. Great local restaurants and convenience stores at walking distance. Quite a great selection of supermarkets and restaurants 10 minutes away by car in Coronado, including Reba Smith a supermarket who carries specialty items for diabetics and celiac clients. Tom and Karen had recommended a driver to bring us to and from the airport, Byron Moscoso. He is a kind and well-versed chauffeur that speaks English very well and his passionate about his beautiful country. He took us as well for a one day excursion to the historic Old City of Panama and Miraflores. We rented a car from Coronado Car Rentals at Tom’s recommendation. It worked out beautifully and strongly recommend it. The family excursion to El Valle was definitely a highlight and is less than 1 hour by car from the condo. The Rio Hato fish market is a great place to go to buy fresh fish and seafood and local produce. Very inexpensive. From the moment we booked the condo back in June 2018, Tom and Karen responded quickly to all our queries. Playa Serena in New Gorgona is the place if you want a well appointed condo, on a great beach that you will have mostly to yourself. The views from the apartment of the ocean and mountain are excellent and Thomas has provided all the hardware you will need if you decide to eat and wash and live in a home environment. However, the Tiki Bar which is right on your beach front door can provide food and drink. They serve the best Eggs Benedict ever! ZThere are many restaurants in the area and some shopping in the immediate area. The area around the condo is beautiful and the Panamanians are still developing this location. I think you would enjoy everything about the condo and area. And as a special treat you get to have a thrill ride while driving with the locals.

My wife and I loved our staff in Panama.

This was our first time in Panama and we loved Tom and Karen's place. The condo was very well equipped and the location was perfect. We were far enough from Panama City but yet close to many attractions. What we liked most was the quietness of Playa Serena. Tom and Karen are great to rent from . They give you lots of ideas what to do and where to go. We thank them much. Highly recommend!

Amazing adventure in Panama

My family and arrived in Panama 9/16/17 and it was wonderful from the start to the very last day. Owners Tom and Karen Szewczyk were remarkable on how much information they gave us. From Coronado Car rental to all the wonderful places to grab a meal. I would have to say La Ruina was my daughters favorite she just loved the food and how interesting the owner Frank was with all his stories. Our condo at Playa Serena was comfortable and from the balcony the view was amazing. We enjoyed several Adult beverages by our pool and next door at the Bahia Tiki bar. One of our big adventures for a day was a visit To El Valle Mountain tours for an breath taking ATV journey to the beautiful Jungle Mountain waterfalls. I would highly recommend anyone interested in visiting Panama to use Tom and Karen as your host they are wonderful people with all the amenities and information you will need to enjoy a trip to Panama.

Awesome Condo in Playa Serna, Coronado Panama

From the minute we arrived at Tom and Karen's condo, we loved it. Situated on the 19th floor with a deck that gave us lots of shade and cool breezes this condo was all you need. The condo was fully appointed with ample furniture, good TV and Netflix, free phone calls to Canada, great kitchen dishes, utensils, and cooking pots and pans. The fridge made ice and was good size. We didn't need to bring a thing. Even spices were well stocked. There are 3 good sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Good showers. We loved the buildings common area and especially enjoyed sitting on the beach watching the sun set each day. This was the perfect getaway and we would recommend staying at Tom and Karen's condo to anyone. This condo gets a '2 Thumbs Up'! It was the perfect home away from home. Slice of Paradise

To start off I would give this Condo Rental a five star rating. My wife and I stayed at this condo in Neuva Gorgona, which is located right on the beach for the month of Feb 2016. The Condo location and surrounding area were as wonderful and beautiful as it gets in Panama. The beach was soft white and black sand with very few rocks or seashells to bother your feet as you walked the long stretch of beach in either direction with your feet in or out of the ocean. Waking up in the morning to have coffee on the large balcony to hear the ocean waves crashing onto the shore and feeling the warm breezes wafting through the air with the smell of the ocean made it feel serene and calm every day. This was one of my greatest pleasures in the early morning hours.The view from the balcony was breath taking. The condo was equipped with everything you need to eat in if you so desired, but the restaurants in the area and in Coronado, a 15 minute car or cab ride away, were spectacular. The three bedrooms were all equiped with queen beds with very comfortable foam matresses, the linens and towels provided were also very nice. The TV's were newer flat screen models and had HDMI access. The local supermarkets were full of name brand products and reasonably priced but the best buy for local fruits and vegetables were the road side stands. The staff at Playa Serena was all very friendly, and although most did not speak English very well they would always wave and say ola with a smile. Our month stay there seemed way too short as we were just getting used to the place when we had to pack up and come home to Windsor Ontario Canada. I would go back without hesitation, if it is available. Tim & Cathie

Playa Gorgona,

We had a wonderful week in Panama and at the Condo with our 4 kids ages 13-21. The place was meticulously clean, comfortable and welcoming. Everything I could think of was there - boogie boards, blow dryer, scotch tape, baggies, and wraps, all cooking supplies, and much much more. Tons of towels, pillows, etc. Views were gorgeous from all sides. We walked out the back door of the building each afternoon to the pool and then down some steps to the beautiful beach where we watched the sunset each night. New Year's Eve - and beyond- fireworks were amazing. Security on both sides of the building was 24 hrs - I never ever felt unsafe. We spent most of each day touring within an hour of the condo - and had fun filled days, ziplining, boating to monkey island, snorkling, hiking in rainforests, near waterfalls, seeing the Canal museum, exploring downtown Panama City and more. Great vacation and family time!

Karen and Tom are from Syracuse, NY. Karen is a nurse-practitioner and real estate investor and Tom is a portrait photographer and a real estate investor. When we traveled to Panama around 2005 and just fell in love with the people and the country. We now have many friends both Panamanian and expats who live in Panama either full or part time.

Why they chose this property

We had decided a long time ago we wanted to own a condo in a beautiful location; someplace in the world that was on the ocean, warm year round, with fewer problems, i.e. hurricanes. We wanted a home where the people are friendly and just someplace that we would enjoy going to each time we traveled there and yes, affordable as well We found out about Playa Serena Resort before they had even begun construction on the project. So we traveled to Panama to see the location, talk to the developers and see a lot of Panama to be sure we'd like to invest and live there. Well we did it right. We enjoy Panama and the Gorgona/Coronado beach areas even more than we at first thought we would. In fact we now have now call Panama our home for a good part of each year.

What makes this property unique

We are located on one of the most beautiful beaches in Panama. Recently we talked to a Panamanian on the beach who had just bought at Playa Serena and he said, 'this is the first 'beautiful' beach you come to from Panama City. In the morning we run or walk barefoot on the beach next to the ocean for around 3+ miles and then go for a swim in the ocean (or the pool). It really gives us a great start to the day. We enjoy relaxing on the beach or near the beautifully landscaped pool area.

We're a very short distance from some great restaurants, some of which are even walking distance away. It's fun showing people around the area when they come with us for a visit, taking them to places like The Panama Canal or El Valle for shopping and lunch. Maybe drive the short distance to Casta Verde or Westland Mall for some shopping. We have good contact information from a person who runs a tour business, "Barefoot Panama" and he lives right here on Playa Serena Beach. We can give you his contact information and everyone we have sent to him have just raved about what a great time they've had.
