We offer a comfortable, open family home. Our place is suitable for a ‘work stay’ and is located close to Mckean County Courthouse and county offices, Smethport Area School and 2 local nursing homes.
The space
Our house is located on an acre lot, very quiet. We have spacious bedrooms with a lot of closet space.
Guest access
There is one area off the master bedroom where we store cleaning supplies.

This was a central spot for our trip to Allegheny National Forest and the Grand Canyon of PA. The house was clean, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the little town of Smethport. The people were very friendly! I would definitely stay here again!

Everything was great. The house was perfect for the 6 of us. Only comment of recommendation: add more pictures of the interior (it really is a great property) & take off the note that there is a hot tub. The only thing close is a garden tub in the master bath.

If any visitors are interested in birding, there is a path across the street from this house, though it is not marked. It is called The Orchard Trail, and the trailhead is right on 6 just to the right of Bucktail Park. It connects to a gravel path just behind The Poor Farm store, which then leads to the Shawmut trail just over the Marvin Creek. Tons of incredible bird habitat.

Elaine is a fantastic host and always goes out of her way to make sure guests are comfortable and have everything they need. We've stayed here several times, and the experience has consistently been excellent.The property is always clean, well-maintained, and located in a quiet, low-stress neighborhood that's perfect for relaxing. While there are a few upgrades that could be made over time, everything works well and we've never had any issues during our stays.One of the absolute highlights of this property is the view from the front porch. Whether you're sitting outside in the early morning or enjoying the evening, the scenery is surprisingly beautiful. Watching the sun hit the mountains, seeing deer wander through the area, and looking out at the farm across the street creates a peaceful and picturesque setting that's hard to describe until you experience it yourself.We keep coming back because it's comfortable, welcoming, and consistently delivers a great stay. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It is much roomier than it appears. There are some minor updates needed inside the property but overall it is a clean property. Noise from trucks on Route 6 was a bit more than expected. The host was very helpful. All in all, We would consider this property for a future stay.
