Welcome to Falcon Cove Retreat, a tranquil getaway tucked into the trees just steps from the Pacific Ocean. Drive down the quiet, tree-lined road into the peaceful Falcon Cove community of Arch Cape, and you'll arrive at our cozy 1969 Midcentury Modern A-frame cabin — a beautifully remodeled retreat where rustic charm meets modern luxury.
Located at the southern end of Arch Cape and adjacent to Oswald West State Park, the cabin is just a 2-minute walk to the beach — close enough that you can hear the waves from the front door. Step outside and you're surrounded by miles of scenic walking trails through one of Oregon's most stunning stretches of coastline. We're also only two miles from Smugglers Cove (also known as Short Sands), one of the state's most popular destinations for surfing, hiking, and tide-pooling.
Inside, the cabin is intimate and inviting. Vaulted A-frame ceilings, warm wood accents, and thoughtfully chosen furnishings create that signature midcentury cabin feel — the kind of place where you actually want to put your phone down. A queen bed sits in the downstairs sleeping area, with a second queen tucked into the cozy loft above. Both spaces are open and airy, designed to lean into the cabin's intimate character. Luxury linens, a fully equipped kitchen with cookware and modern appliances, and high-speed Wi-Fi mean you'll have everything you need for a comfortable stay — whether you're here for a long weekend, a honeymoon, or a slow, restorative escape.
Outside, the experience only gets better. Step onto our huge custom deck — nearly as large as the cabin itself — to grill, dine al fresco, or simply sit and listen to the wind in the trees. Soak in the private hot tub, sweat it out in the dry sauna, and feel the stress of everyday life melt away. It's the kind of place that turns a weekend into a memory.
Falcon Cove Retreat is ideal for couples, small groups, and adventurers looking for a true Oregon Coast escape — close to Cannon Beach and Manzanita when you want to explore, but blissfully tucked away when you want to disappear into the trees. Whether you're chasing waves at Short Sands, hiking the headlands of Oswald West, or simply soaking in the hot tub under the stars, Falcon Cove Retreat is your front-row seat to one of the most beautiful corners of the Pacific Northwest.

Place was lovley. Great location short drives to town, local beaches, and hikes. Very comfortable bed especially and a nice soak in the hott tub. Would recommend to friends and family
It was a great space for a restful or active experience--you pick! The house is close to the beach with a great indoor space to hang out by the fire and play games. When it was cloudy and rainy, we relaxed in the hot tub and sauna. What more could you want?
Lovely well cared for A frame cabin in the woods only blocks from a very wild majestic beach with a great hot tub and sauna. Great experience will definitely be back.
The ocean air was the most beautiful I have ever breathed in the beds were the most comfortable I ever slept in upstairs listening to the ocean and the wind thank you.
If you're looking to relax and unwind with all the amenities, then this place is for you! The host was very responsive to questions and has everything you need. They even made little touches to make it personal when we arrived. Highly recommend 10/10

This place was so unique and cozy. Really a cool place to stay. Close to everything you'd need by car. Beach is close to the Aframe but Aframe is not on the beach. A little spendy.
Lovely A frame cabin tucked into a small woodsy area. Super close to both Manzanita and Cannon Beach! The beds were super comfortable and the outdoor space was lovely. The hot tub was the perfect temperature and the living room was great for cozying up on the couch for a movie. We also appreciated the free bottle of wine! That was a nice touch :)Unfortunately, the gas fire table on the front porch didn’t work and although the instructions said there was extra batteries in the armoire, we did not see any in there so it was a bummer we couldn’t use that part of the space. In addition, the firewood and firepit out back was too damp to make a bonfire. We tried lighting one for about an hour and used various logs from both outside and inside but all to no avail. It’s too bad there wasn’t a fire starter log at the house. If these two things had been fixed, it would have been a perfect stay. However we still very much enjoyed our time here and would book it again!
Lovely classic gem. Well appointed for cooking in with a well stocked kitchen. Cozy bed. Located very close to the water but no real view except for a sneak peak from the balcony. Way quieter beach then Arch Cape. Lovely.

Thank you for your kind words. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Hope to host you again.
We absolutely loved our stay (even though the weather was less than stellar). We used the hot tub and sauna every day! The outdoor shower was nice to have after using both. The beds were a bit soft for our taste, but there were plenty of pillows and blankets. The coffee situation was AMAZING. The pour over coffee was delish. The kitchen was well stocked as well. The location to the beach is perfect. Don't take the "short" trail, though. It's overgrown and almost straight down in parts. We loved that there was an extra mattress so our kids didn't have to share a bed. (clutch with a 9 and 11 year old). Overall our stay was fantastic and I'd definitely book again!
Simply great! Beautiful home! Would recommend highly!

About the host
Your host
We fell in love with the Oregon Coast during many family road trips. We love the outdoors, and the beauty of the Pacific Northwest is like no other. As our kids are all grown we bought this cabin as a potential retirement retreat in a few years. Until then, we want to share the magic of this incredible spot.
Why they chose this property
Our Falcon Cove Aframe is more than a vacation rental. It's an experience! This tiny original 1969 cabin takes you away from every day life. It is simple and cozy and in one of the most incredible spots on the Oregon Coast. From the upstairs loft you can hear the ocean crashing in the distance and look up at the tall forest trees through the large triangle windows. The sunsets from the upper deck and the short walk to the cove are stunning. While rustic, we have made every effort to make this space luxurious as well.
What makes this property unique
Updated Aframe with views from upstairs loft.
