Cozy cottage located in rural Central Ohio.

Looking for a place to unwind & relax? Come stay at The Green Cottage! It is located in a rural area of Ohio, 45 minutes from Columbus and 1 hour south of Holmes County/Amish country. You can sit on the wrap around deck and enjoy the sunrise on the porch with a cup of coffee. Currently the lofts are not accessible. We have Spectrum internet available here with our smart TV screen. There are Amish living here in the community and so you might hear numerous buggies going past. And our Farmer neighbor occasionally has cattle in the field adjoining our property.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

We had an amazing stay! What a gem of a place that was perfect in every way, with every detail thought of to ensure a 5 star experience. It was clean, comfortable, and remote enough to enjoy some peace and quiet, while also close enough to local attractions to be able to take advantage of those (parks, coffee shops, restaurants, etc.). The check-in and check-out processes were very smooth and it was very spacious. We had planned to do even more exploring, but we decided to spend more time at the cottage because it was so cozy. We will definitely be back and woudl highly recommend the place.

Lovely cottage it has everything you need and more. Very clean and comfortable. Peaceful quite. I truly enjoyed myself you can’t get this in a hotel. The hostess was A plus. Power went out and she immediately bought me a portable light and charger. If you want peace and quiet and nature this is the place. The hostess has pamphlets about local attractions. I drove to near by towns to experience the local culture. This place was awesome

We loved the cottage and the area around it. It was so peaceful and in the country. Lots of activities nearby! Everything was clean and we had zero issues. This place is a real treat. I'm glad I stayed here instead of a hotel. It is immaculately kept with all the basics such as dishes, silverware, vacuum, etc, etc. The bed was comfortable and the nights were peaceful. They have a binder with useful info about the area including where to grab food, other necessities and curiosities to explore. Highly recommended.

I'm your host, Bethany. My sister moved this small cottage in just down the hill from us. In the mean time, she started dating and got married! So now we'd like to open up The Green Cottage for guests needing a place to stay. Welcome to The Green Cottage!

Why they chose this property

This is the community we've grown up in. There are beautiful sunrises here and I have a favorite spot for sunsets just down the road. We have a neighbor that has sourdough bread, cookies, and produce items available at a self serve station. You can find her at Pick a Peck Farm on Facebook.

What makes this property unique

It's located in a rural area of Central Ohio but in 15 minutes you can be in Mt. Vernon and approximately 30 minutes to Newark. There is a Dollar General just a few minutes away in Martinsburg and Sugar &Spice (a deli/bulk food store) in Utica. We offer a fully furnished kitchen (minus a dishwasher)along with a few staple pantry items.
