Kick back and relax in this serene, stylish retreat located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Enjoy the quiet from your private patio and yard. Relax by your private fire pit. Check out the stars in the night sky. Historical downtown Nevada City and Grass Valley are within a ten minute drive. We love our close access to epic mountain biking, hiking, swimming, boating, kayaking, and skiing. Or enjoy our nearby historical towns’ local shops, restaurants, wineries, and breweries.
The space
Our newly built, light and bright guest house is located on three acres of gated property surrounded by oaks, pines, and pastures with the main residence nearby. You’ll enjoy the private, single level, 750 square foot space with fully equipped kitchen, separate dining, living room, bathroom, and queen bedroom with upscale linens. Small sofa in living area pulls out to twin size bed for additional sleeping space. Central heating and air will keep you comfortable. We love the mature landscape offering lush grasses, shade trees, flowering plants, and various areas to sit and enjoy.
Guest access
Guest house has shared main drive and private access as it is separate from the main house. Shared grill is available upon request.
Other things to note:
Upon request, enjoy shared access to our pool to help cool off on those warmer days. Upon your arrival you will likely be greeted by our two friendly dogs (a goldendoodle and a bernedoodle) who help keep an eye on the place and keep some of the wildlife on their best behavior.
Please note: Attached she shop locked and for owners use only, when not hosting guests.

EV Charger: Available for an additional fee. Please note that due to amperage limitations at this time we have found it is not advisable to run the AC and charge your vehicle at the same time. Note: we do have a Tesla adapter available.

Pets: Up to 2 friendly pets are welcome with advanced notice for a flat fee of $100 per stay.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Amazing and Perfect Guesthouse

We had the most amazing and relaxing weekend in Nevada City thanks to Lorrie and her lovely hospitality. She is the best host! This was the cleanest, beautiful little home we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail is phenomenal. Everything is modern, comfortable and perfect. Stay here if you want a serene getaway with every amenity. There was a lovely welcome basket with muffins and fruit and a very sweet note waiting for us when we arrived. Every communication with Lorrie and her husband was so kind and helpful! We can't wait to come back!!

Had a very relaxing weekend here while visiting for a wedding. The guest house was immaculately clean. There was a lovely welcome note and basket with fruit and muffins waiting for us when we arrived. The home has everything you could possibility need, including plenty of coffee and creamer. The kitchen has everything you might need to cook. There's even a washer/dryer. The towels were wonderful, the pool refreshing. Everything was new. Lovely to sit out in the evening with plenty of shade. Thank you again for a wonderful stay. We'll be back again.

Fantastic Cottage & Location!!

We wanted to go fishing in the Grass Valley/Nevada City area but needed a place where we could park our boat safely and a place that would also let us bring our dog. This rental fit our needs perfectly and was even better than described. We have rented quite a few places over the years and this was one of the nicest by far. Everything inside and out is so well kept and we even were greeted with a basket of goodies upon arrival. The kitchen has full size appliances so if you want to cook or BBQ (nice outdoor gas grill provided) all you need is onsite. The property is located half-way between Grass Valley and Nevada City so driving to either place is roughly a scenic 15-min drive. We would not hesitate in coming back and staying in this lovely rental.
