Perfect Lake Champlain Getaway

Spotless,comfortable, spacious with so many charming spaces to chillax. Loved having the lake out back and breathtaking sunsets out front. You can tell the owners really care. Private yet close to great hiking, boating and everything we wanted to explore. Can’t wait to go back.

Lakehouse retreat for a perfectly relaxing getaway

Kayleigh & David are courteous responsive hosts. Booking was confirmed promptly and message replies were timely. Wonderful property with plenty of amenities. House is three levels of living with several comfortable areas to relax/enjoy amazing lake views, beautiful sunrises. While it was a bit chilly for us to use the screened in porch or upper balcony, these options allow for pleasant convenient outdoor access. Kitchen has dishes/cooking supplies necessary for meal prep/dining. We were impressed by the well-stocked pantry with numerous spices and basic food staples. As coffee lovers we also appreciated the high-end drip coffee machine w/grinder provided. The main level bath is new beautifully renovated w/walk-in shower.We enjoyed a brisk outing in the kayaks. Kudos to host recommendation to bring wetsuits in the off-season/early spring. This made cold weather kayaking safe/enjoyable. It was a little tricky getting in the water. But listing is clear about steep rocky shore access so we weren't surprised by it. Loved being able to warm up afterward in new outdoor sauna with window overlooking the lake!We chose this location for the short drive to visit Ausable Chasm. After hiking gorge waterfall trails, we visited Rulfs Orchard country store/bakery near there. Huge selection of merchandise and goodies.It's obvious the hosts seek to offer a superior vacation rental and appear to be making ongoing improvements. We hope to return someday.

Perfect balance of outfitted but not overly personal. It felt like you were in a home, and not specifically someone else’s home. The lake access was amazing (though the stairs are not accessible for everyone, but so it goes).

This property is amazing. A large Adirondack beauty, filled with everything you might need or want. Screen porches facing the water provide large spaces for morning coffee through moonlit nights accompanied by loon calls. The large living room sofas and chairs were perfect for long conversations and relaxing down times. The artwork throughout the house is so impressive! The bedrooms were fitted with very comfortable beds and fresh linens. There were ample towels for our large group, and a washer/dryer if needed. The bathroom was well appointed and the nice hot water lasted through the whole group's showers. We loved the kitchen setup, great oven, dishwasher, coffeemaker, etc. even a perfect tech toaster! The grill setup worked great, and everything was provided for it. We didn't get time to try the sauna, but I'm sure it's as wonderful as all the rest. The lower level was the favorite spot for fun - the ping pong table was in constant use, and the TV was enjoyed for some soccer viewing and a few movies. I can not think of even one thing to say that needed improvement. Obviously, someone has put a great deal of thought into what would make the perfect vacation home spot. My family group was from ages 11months to 74 years, and they all declared it perfect. Family from other VRBOs came to visit and they said they would clearly pick this place if they come back to the area again.
