Welcome to a quieter kind of comfort—where cozy meets open space, and everything feels just a little more relaxed.
Tucked into a peaceful North Carolina property, this thoughtfully designed retreat offers the charm of country living with the ease and quality of a well-appointed stay. It’s the kind of place where mornings begin slowly, evenings stretch out a little longer, and you actually remember what it feels like to unwind.
Inside, you’ll find a clean, cozy space with elevated touches throughout. The fully equipped kitchen is ready for anything from a simple morning coffee ritual to a full home-cooked meal (yes—actual tools, not just the “bare minimum” situation). Whether you’re here for a weekend reset or a longer stay, you’ll have everything you need to feel at home.
The property offers room to wander, breathe, and explore—trees, open land, and those perfect in-between spots that seem made for sitting with a drink and doing absolutely nothing.
We also share the property with two very friendly potbellied pigs, who are fairly certain they’re in charge. They love meeting guests and may stop by to say hello. They sure do appreciate a little attention and peanuts (provided).
We aim to offer a stay that feels effortless, comfortable, and just a little bit elevated—without ever feeling fussy. We, Trish and Dave, live on the property and are just a phone call away should you need anything during your stay.
Close enough to town for convenience, far enough away to truly disconnect.
Come settle in, stretch out, and enjoy a stay that’s equal parts polished and peaceful. ________________________________________ Cottage Amenities: • 2 bedrooms; the third bedroom is a dedicated office space. • Bird watching from the kitchen window. • New roof & new energy-efficient Senville mini split heating & cooling system • New windows, doors, light fixtures, granite countertops in the kitchen, stainless steel appliances, and more • New LG washer and dryer • Closed in back yard • Fire pit (wood provided) • Gas BBQ grill • Smart TV with access to Netflix, Prime, etc

About the host
Hosted by Trish
Dave loves anything with an engine, and Trish leans more toward art, gardening experiments, and yoga mats—so it balances out nicely.
We left the city in search of nature, space, and a life that could include animals (and a little chaos). Mostly, we just wanted room to breathe—and a place where having pigs and a lot of dirt felt like a lifestyle choice, not a problem.
Now we spend our days enjoying lake life, fresh air, and sharing this little slice of it with others.
