We had an amazing time at Big Rock Cabin! Cabin is beautiful and very well decorated! Thank you for allowing dogs. It was Jaspers first vacation with us and he loved it there. We will definitely be back!
Serene and deep in the Forest! The collection of eclectic artwork was incredible! The rockers (and I mean 'chairs') along the porch were so relaxing morning, midday and evening. We enjoyed perfect weather during our stay in the Red Rover Gorge area.
This was our 4th time staying at this property. Once again it did not disappoint. We were a family of 4 and 1 dog staying for a weekend. The house is in a perfect location. It’s on a quiet secluded road surrounded by trees and rock walls. All of the trailheads in Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park are reasonably close making this a great home base. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby. The house is very comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. The covered porch was the perfect place for a cup of coffee in the cool mornings. We are looking forward to staying here again.
The cabin was very cozy and clean. The cell reception is low in this area, but it was easy login to the wifi provided! There is a steep driveway, but I guess that's normal driving for Kentucky folks! Overall, it was a very beautiful and relaxing stay in an AMAZING location!
The property was amazing and exactly as described. We really enjoyed the close location to activities within the gorge area and restaurants. This property is one of a kind as it has a fire pit held within a cave on the property. Host was very helpful and responsive. Thank you for a great vacation!
Everything was great. Check in was easy. Location was close to everything. Had a great book of recommendations. Loved the art all around the cabin. Would stay here again.
Big Rock Log Cabin was a wonderful escape. It was secluded, yet close to everything the Red River Gorge had to offer. The outdoor firepit under the overhanging rocks was so unique! We also enjoyed the rocking chairs on the large covered front porch. I would definitely stay here again if I am ever in the area.
We love this cabin. This was our second stay here. The rock cliffs and surrounding nature make you feel like you’re really off the map. It was very clean when we arrived and fully stocked with towels and kitchenware.
This cabin was awesome. Super clean and stocked with all the things. We were close to all the hiking we wanted to do and a short drive up to the Ark!The back yard with the rock and trails was the best for my two boys 11am 7. They could go out and play anytime . Highly recommend.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Cabin was cute and the area is beautiful! The biggest disappointment was the absence of access to the washer and dryer as described in the listing. WiFi is great, but phone signals in the area are spotty. Host did respond to my notification of flickering lights, but I never got a response about the access to washer and dryer. I should’ve investigated all the doors and access upon arrival, but sadly didn’t notice all the locked doors where the W/D was probably located until the second day. Definitely not enough towels for multiple days without the ability to wash them. Side porch area was nice but very dirty and unusable without spending a lot of time cleaning. Outdoor fire pit under rock is gorgeous with a short but steep and slick climb to get to it. Definitely a great place to stay if you are in the area!
This place is so cute . The outdoor spaces are amazing and it’s really close to everything. Easy to find. Thanks for a great place to spend our weekend. Kids and dog all enjoyed very much.
The overall experience was fantastic considering the weather was horrible! The cabin was clean, our host was amazing and very responsive and worked with me on some last minute changes, we had plenty of everything we needed, tons of activities/ board games in the cabin to play. Our favorite thing was the fire pit, we roasted hotdogs and made s’mores all while it rained buckets and stayed dry. I would recommend this place if your looking for a family friendly vacation.
