Located in a quiet neighborhood three blocks from Waikiki Beach. Decorated in tropical, Hawaiian decor, this unique condominium offers a complete kitchen as well as a 1000-square-foot, private lanai with an extraordinary view of Diamond Head crater.

Relax by the heated pool down hall from our unit. And a convenient sundry store on site. Centrally located in Waikiki. Shopping, restaurants, and attractions are only a few minutes walk away. Just ten minutes from Honolulu Airport. Walking distance of Waikiki Beach and Honolulu Zoo.

INTERIOR:
The interior of the condominium is decorated in tropical, Hawaiian decor. One bedroom has two twin beds. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed. All beds are made up with fine linens and various types of pillows so you will sleep in divine comfort.

Both bedrooms have full glass doors which open to a 1000-square-foot lanai fully equipped with patio furniture and a swing for relaxing. Twin bedroom opens into Living Room with full, wall of doors that closes for privacy.

Fully Equippped, newly renovated, open kitchen with everything provided for your home away from home comfort.

Great holiday in Hawaii

The apartment was just as we expected with enough room for 5 adults and an infant. Bonus was it had a large outdoor patio area to enjoy and was on the same floor as the pool.Not too far at all from the beach. Accomodation came with all the extras that you would like from a beach home. eg boogie board ,fins, masks, movies bbg etc

Just what we wanted!

We stayed here with 2 kids and 2 adults. There was everything we needed. beach toys, chairs, coffee maker. You name they had it! Patricia is a wonderful woman who will go out of her way to help you with tourist info and answer all your questions. I am looking forward to coming back to this place.

The location of the building is very convienent to the beach and Waikiki. The lanai is lovely as is the view. The place is adequate but needs some TLC. The Wi-fi doesn't work, the tv controller doesn't work, the door latch is broken and the building has seen better days. The directions to get in the place were somewhat confusing and didn't appear to have been updated in a while. The place is small and getting to the lanai is difficult as the rooms are so small. Again, adequate for it's purpuse but it's probably time for a facelift.

Convenient Location, Great View, Reasonable Room

We had an unfortunate situation where the building's Air Conditioning system was under publicly posted scheduled maintenance for our weeklong stay. We were not notified by the property manager of this before our arrival. Our unit was therefore not as advertised - since there was no AC in our unit (or the whole building) for most of our stay. The property manager did provide a large fan which was helpful with the heat, but offered no compensation to us for her negligence in not informing us during booking, or at least before arrival, that there would be no AC for the majority of our stay. Regarding the location and the unit itself, we had a good experience. The view of Diamond Head was amazing from the large balcony/ Lanai. We spent time outside on the Lanai everyday. The walk to the beach was easy and convenient. There is a pool on the same floor as the unit, and was very convent for access. Coin Laundry was also on the same floor (not in the unit). We utilized the free parking for our rental car, and there was a small convince store in the building on floor 5, which was expensive - but useful. The unit itself was "well worn", but also well stocked and comfortable for our family. Apart from the poor customer service from the property manager regarding the posted shut-down of the AC for that week, we had a good overall experience with the rental unit. Good news for you is, the AC should be in excellent working order for years to come...

Do not stay here - vacation was ruined - would give zero stars if I could

I've tried writing this review 3 times and each time have given up because of how hard it's been to relive the stress, anxiety, and trauma staying in this condo caused. I'm going to keep it very simple: this condo is dirty, run-down, and not maintained with guests' comfort in mind. I am out of pocket several hundred dollars because I had to book a last-minute hotel the first night of the rental. The condo was filthy and the host could not be reached by her local representative. Despite the fact I had no other option than to stay at a hotel because the condo was not check-in ready, the owner refused to reimburse me. The owner threatened me with the police when I did not agree to arbitrary and last-minute "rules" and I was also threatened with legal action. I'm still at a loss to understand on what grounds since I was compliant with all posted rules and regulations - and was simply trying to enjoy a month in Honolulu. It's hard to put into words how stressful and uncomfortable the whole situation was. Issues flagged by other reviewers were still an issue as of December 2023. This is in keeping with how I was made to feel like an imposition rather than a paying guest, someone shady rather than someone trying to relax in Hawaii. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT BOOK HERE.

Leaky fridge, torn curtains, beat-up furniture, utterly dead plants, weather worn terrace furniture

There were a lot of things wrong with the apartment, one of them being the leaking refrigerator which caused me a lot of grief having to my mop up after it every two days. The water leakage has been there for such as long time that it caused the wooden kitchen floor boards to break up and had to be duck taped all over - watch out not cut your feet! A lot of equipment were also broken, such as the rice cooker and cracked up mixing bowl, and some just missing like a water kettle. There were only four forks in the apartment to eat with. The microwave is so beaten up that the timer setting is unreadable. A lot of the towels were stained and the curtains were hanging lopsided and ripped. The sofa covers are heavily stained as well. There is a huge gap underneath the main door where the wind catches it making the door constantly rattle. Lines of the terrace lights were broken with some missing the light bulbs entirely. The owner was renting her van out on Turo and placed the key in a lock box attached to the apartment door. People were coming early in the morning and returning the keys late in the evening fiddling with the lock box each time. When the combination to the lock didn’t work, they would knock on my door asking for assistance. Eventually when the lock box wouldn’t open at all, the owner insisted that I look for the spare key of her van in the apartment (which was no where to be found in the end). Also a parking pass had to be shown to the parking attendant for her cust

The condo was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked. The furniture was old and out-dated but comfortable. Some of the tables were rickety and unstable. One kitchen cabinet door was hanging from a broken hinge. Another cabinet door scraped the floor. Everything was in working condition. The lanai was huge. It had a small covered area that did not provide much shade because the top only has a few slats. The furniture under the lanai was uncomfortable, but the dining furniture outside was comfortable. I am am hard to please when it comes to beds, but these beds were super comfy. The bedding was also very comfortable. The tv in the living room did not work, but I had someone move the tv from one of the bedrooms into the living room to use. The tv in one bedroom was on a flimsy rickety table that could have easily been knocked over just by touching it (that was the tv I chose to be moved into the living room.)The furniture in the bedrooms was very crowded so it was difficult to get around the queen bed to the other side, and one of the twin beds was right up against the sliding door to the lanai. Both bedrooms do have sliding doors out to the lanai, but I was not able to use them myself because I am handicapped and need to use a walker. The pool area is not handicap accessible so I was not able to use that area. There are only stairs to get to the pool area. The condo would be good for a small family but not for anyone handicapped.

Location is amazing!

The location is amazing! Walking distance to the beach, main strip in Waikiki, international market, Zoo, Ala Wai, bus stops and parks. If you have a car it’s also very near the highway, Ala Moana shopping district and grocery store. The car parking pass is a great bonus though the park does fill up around 11:00pm so get parked earlier if possible. It’s convenient that the laundry room is right outside the doorway. Also on the same floor as the gym, pool and BBQs. It’s kept tidy but as with all old buildings it needs some upkeep. We would stay again.

Our stay was comfortable and easy, and our young family members really appreciated access to the sand toys and boogie boards. The patio was huge and comfortable, but we ended up spending most of our outdoor time at the beach just a short walk away.

Great location!

Just a few blocks to the beach (about 10minutes) and a short drive to Diamond Head! The view of Diamond Head was incredible. We spent a lot of time on the huge lanai in the evenings. Overall, an excellent property with a responsive owner.

We thoroughly and completely enjoyed our stay The view from the lanai is phenomenal! Looks right at Diamond head and view is unobstructed due to school next door. Quiet location for Waikiki It was only 2 blocks to the beach! Snorkel and beach gear was provided and the pool down the hallway was really nice and refreshing Beds were incredibly comfortable and plenty of sitting room both inside and out Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend property!

A lot of really great things . . . a few not so great.

This property has some really amazing things. The huge private lanai and the view are spectacular. We spent a lot of time outside! Inside was very clean and comfortable, but there were a lot of minor issues that took away from the otherwise great experience. The kitchen and bathroom lighting flickered or didn't work at all. A table lamp had a broken switch and didn't work. Rope lights on the lanai had a broken plug. There were 3 shattered solar lights on the lanai. Ice cube trays were cracked and leaking. The kitchen had some pots and pans, but were missing a few essentials like pot holders or oven mitts. We really liked that there was plenty of seating, both indoors and out. We had 5 adults and we could all eat at the bar together. We could sit in the living room together and watch tv. Be aware, though, that the bedrooms are very small. Pack light and you will be fine, but it is very cozy. The beds were comfy and the linens clean and soft. The building was undergoing renovations that we were not aware of. That didn't cause any problems, though. The workers were friendly and quiet. Overall, we really did enjoy our stay. We ate breakfast on the lanai almost everyday, enjoying the breeze and the great view of Diamond Head. It is completely private with a lot of seating. Having the kitchen to make easy dinners saved us a lot of money. We did address these concerns mentioned above (and a few others) with the owner. They were not corrected during our stay, but it did sound like they would be looking at those issues. If corrected, we would definitely stay again.

The Lanai makes it

There were some rocky moments with this stay. The unit was not cleaned when we arrived and there were piles of dirty, wet towels and beds were not changed. Not a great first impression. The property manager had a party to go to, so did not show up until 1 pm the following day to clean and replace linens. He never got the TVs working, and we never got a key to the parking garage, so we had to walk around to front entrance every time we parked. I asked him for these things every time I talked to him, but he never resolved the issues . The toilet got clogged three times and there was no plunger, the shower also clogged. Property manager said he would come over, but never showed up. Inside of unit was sufficient. The best part of it was the lanai, which is just as it looks on the listing...huge and with a great view. The Sunset (building) itself is in need of major refurbishment (elevators, hallways, no AC)

Great location. Room sleeps 6 people comfortablely.

Great location. Plenty of cooking appliances. There is a pool and tennis court. The owner responded to my questions promptly. The only challenge is the elevator. It is slow and full half of the time when it gets to the 6th floor. No easy stair access from parking building.

The place had just too many quirks to be likeable

The kitchen sink leaked, several power outlets didn't work, the tub didn't drain, the sliding glass doors didnt lock, the furniture blocked the doors to the lanai, furniture is old and musty, the a/c rattles, the lanai is run down and not as depicted, the door to the shed kept falling off, and it was kinda dirty...but the location was good and pool access was great. Not normally picky but this place wasn't very pleasant.

Great space, excellent Waikiki location

We had a great week in this condo. My parents lived on Oahu for 25 years so we knew the places on the island we wanted to go and this condo made getting to all of them easy. Convenient to the highway, a good grocery store, restaurants, the beach, and the Waikiki experience if that's what you want. The free parking is such a plus. Having beach chairs, floats, boogie boards and towels made trips to the beach a pleasure. Kudos to Tricia for providing such a great place to vacation.

Great place!

We stayed here for 2 weeks. Flat was located centrally and in easy access to the beach, restaurants and shops. There were a lot of stuff, beach equipments, etc for us to borrow..... Balcony was a huge size, We didnt get to enjoy of it that much as we had a lot to do. There were cutlery, mugs, plates etc... kitchen was well equipped. Bedrooms were small. Shower was a bit weak. Decor was homely and cozy. Good internet connection. Air conditioning worked. Cleaning could have been a lot better. All in all a good place, I would definitely come back! Thank you!

Worked in a pinch

Well... First, I never received an address with check in paperwork so I had to figure out where it was, I eventually did. Second, the condo was ok, seemed tired, but in a good location. Third, we didn't use anything in the shelves as there were cockroaches crawling everywhere. This place needs a very good cleaning, updating, and roach treatment. The lanai was great and had a wonderful view... until people started dropping ice on our heads, seriously.

Vacances en famille

Nous avons passé un super séjour en famille. Les photos reflètent bien la réalité. L'appartement était propre, calme et bien équipé. Nous avons pu utiliser un des bodyboard et parfois la terrasse quand il n'y avait pas trop de vent. Sinon on aurait apprécié un lave vaisselle. L'appartement est bien situé, car proche de la plage. Hawaii is truly paradise. When looking for the ideal place to buy the Waikiki Sunset has it all. A nice quiet location, away from the noise of the strip but close enough to walk to the beach and center of Waikiki. This condo really has it all. We updated it with wood floors, new mattresses and all the comforts of home. The 1100sq foot lanai is unique as there is No other condo in all of Waikiki with this large, private, outdoor space

What makes this property unique

This condo is unique because of the large lanai, it gives extra space where needed in often small city condos. It is also on the 6th floor of the building which is the same floor as the pool and bbq area, so quite convenient. It is 2 short blocks to the beach and central Waikiki, yet far enough way from the strip so quiet when you want some peace.
