Welcome to the Hickory Chalet@Split Rock!

Located a three-minute walk to Split Rock amenities and attractions and Lake Harmony.

We offer a completely renovated 2 bedroom cabin. The Hickory Chalet is pup friendly pending pet rules. (Furniture covers are provided & expected to be used). Comfy Posturepedic King bed in the “Bear” Room. A queen bed with connecting 1/2 bath in the “Lake”room. Brand new kitchen & Baths, comfy living room all with smart televisions in LR and each bedroom.

You have the entire cabin and property to yourself.

We are always available, please reach out anytime.

If bringing your pet (dogs only) please inform us at the time of booking. We do have a pet fee, not for service dogs), to cover the extra cleaning with sofa covers we provide, dog bowls & toys, etc.
We typically respond to booking requests in less than one hour.

Note: May & September there will not be inside fire place access & air conditioning. (They are the 2 months we install & uninstall the units). Please contact us for special arrangements, we try to accommodate our guests.
Towels & Blankets are provided, each bed will have a full set of sheets & top bed dressing, There are a few cozy throw blankets for inside use. towels & washcloths provided for each guest.

House Rules: No Booking for guests under 25 years old. This is not a party house, this is a family home. Not to exceed 8 guests in the home or on the grounds. Please put all food trash into the brown bear can with screw on lid and `clean` trash into the regular trash can, if needed, Trash day is Monday. Quiet time is from 10:00 pm to 8 am, please be mindful of surrounding families. Absolutely No Smoking/Candles, (battery-operated candles can be requested) or glitter. Dogs are allowed please let us know in advance of booking and select the pet fee box. No Fireworks. We do have recording security cameras on the grounds, by the entrance, backyard, & driveway. Not aimed inside the home. If baby gate or high chair are needed, please request at booking. They are kept off site. All guests must carefully read, agree to, & sign the POA guideline. These will be provided separately. All guests must follow the checkout instructions at the house. These will be sent to you before arrival. If the rental agreement is not automatically sent, please request it shortly after booking. We look forward to hosting a great stay for you!

We were very pleased with the Hickory Chalet! Short walk to the Lake. The property was very clean, packed with extra special touches. Owners were very helpful and quickly responsive to a couple questions we had. The only thing wrong with our stay was that it wasn’t long enough! We loved everything about this lake house! We wanted to bring my sister to lake harmony to celebrate a late Mother’s Day! Host had everything needed, made us and twins feel very welcome and our little fur baby loved it! Our first night a black bear walked about 100 ft through the woods, like nothingit was amazing! The Hickory Chalet was a perfect location for a quiet weekend getaway. It had everything you needed; fully equipped with all things to keep you occupied even on a rainy weekend -games, records, a fireplace and all the cooking essentials! Home was as beautiful as the photos and both hosts were gracious with taking the time to answer all questions and ensure our stay was excellent. We went with our dog, and even he had all the things to keep him comfortable- blankets, toys, bones! Would certainly visit again. Perfect for a couple looking to get away and have a quiet weekend nestled in the woods. Location 15-20 minutes away from outlets, breweries and wineries, too.

Wonderful hosts, they had checked in each day asking if anything was needed or if they can do anything to make our stay more enjoyable. Our stay couldn’t be better. Overall, the space was as described, quiet and well stocked, exceeding our expectations. I definitely enjoyed seeing the deer each day and taking in all the sights and sounds. We had a lovely stay in Lake Harmony at this well designed 2 bedroom, 2 bath home. The house was very clean with great amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms. It was well designed and the owners even supplied dog bowls and treats for our dog. The neighborhood was quiet and walkable to the lake. We will definitely look to come back in the future!!

Home away from home

Great mini getaway! Very comfortable beds, hot shower with great water pressure, well-stocked kitchen, very nice amenities, indoor s'mores maker, lots of fun board games, puzzles, books, record player (we didn't use this), and cable TV.. the weather was not great during our stay, so it was awesome that the house has everything we needed! Close to grocery store and various food restaurants! Great, responsive hosts!

Relax in this cozy chalet

This was one of our best rental experiences ever. The chalet is comfortable and very cozy, well appointed with just about everything you need from kitchen supplies to plenty of warm blankets. The owners were great communicators and went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of. It was particularly great to have them enthusiastic about us bringing along our dog - there were treats and toys waiting for him too and the whole place was dog ready and dog friendly. We will return.

James and Lori were exceptional hosts. They were in communication throughout our stay to ensure everything met our expectations and to make sure we had no questions. The chalet was spotless, and when i say spotless, I mean 100% spotless. There was plenty to do nearby and great restaurants offering wonderful views of the lakes. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that they even welcomed our big 80 lb. boy into their home where most hosts shun the big fellows over 50 lbs. (toys and food/water bowls included)! We plan on visiting again!
