Family & Pet Friendly 3BR/3.5 Bath Near RU & VT - Sleeps 7 - Crib Available
New-build 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath home is 1 mile from Radford University, and 20 mins from Virginia Tech. Each bedroom offers blackout curtains, a private ensuite, and walk-in closet. 2 bedrooms have a smart tv. Large living room also has a TV, dining area, and fully-stocked kitchen. You'll have access to on-site laundry (washer, dryer, iron, ironing board). The house is located in a safe, quiet residential area where there is plenty of parking.
Queen Bedroom with Private Entrance: Has a Smart TV, walk-in closet, and private ensuite. Bedroom walks out on to a private porch with patio set for enjoying your morning coffee or winding down after a long day.
Upstairs Queen Bedroom: Has a Smart TV, walk-in closet, and private ensuite. This room offers the most natural light in the mornings, and has black-out curtains for those sensitive to light and 3rd shift workers.
Upstairs Twin Trundle Room: Can be set up as three twin beds (one as a trundle), with a laptop workstation; OR, this can be set up in advance as one King Sized bed with a pull-out trundle bed. If you're traveling with young children, this is probably the best space for them! Room also has blackout curtains, private ensuite and walk-in closet. There is a box of assorted kids toys, feel free to enjoy. We even have a few bedtime stories on hand.
We have both firm and soft pillows available for each room! We usually keep the firmer pillows on the bed, but there are always 2 extra pillows in the walk-in closet of each bedroom if you prefer something a bit softer.
The dining room, living room and kitchen are open-concept. There is a breakfast bar with high-top chairs for larger groups or guests looking for a less formal dining experience.
There is a dedicated workstation on the main floor where you can connect to our high speed wifi, or you can plug in directly if you prefer an ethernet connection.
Fully-stocked kitchen features several small appliances, a dishwasher, stove, fridge and freezer as well as everything you would need to prepare a meal.
There are two locked closets in the home, which we use to keep extra items in (soap, towels, etc.). Everything else inside the space is available for guest use, including the laundry room.

Travel is about so more than just visiting a new place — it’s about creating moments that stay with you long after your trip ends. That’s one of the reasons I love hosting. Every guest who stays in my home is part of that story, and it’s a joy for me to make their experience as welcoming, easy, and memorable as possible.
Over the years, I’ve hosted families coming together for big life moments, like graduations and reunions, family welcoming new babies, loved ones celebrating weddings, as well as professionals working on long-term assignments. I’ve also had the honor of welcoming displaced families who needed a safe and comfortable space after an unexpected event. For each of these guests, we do our best to create a sense of stability and comfort, so they can focus on what really matters to them during their time away from home.
I take pride in making sure my home is fully stocked and ready for real life, from the small touches in the kitchen to cozy bedrooms that help everyone settle in. Around the holidays, I decorate for Christmas with a tree so families can continue their traditions while traveling. In the summer, I love pointing guests toward the New River for tubing, kayaking, or fishing. It’s about making sure guests don’t just have a place to stay — they have a place that enhances their trip.

Why they chose this property
This beautiful community is minutes from the best of what the area has to offer. We are within 20 mins of Virginia Tech, Radford University, The Appalachain Trail, loads of amazing hiking trails and waterfalls, fishing, boating, restaurants, shopping, and of course the friends and family you may have come to town to visit. Even though we are so close to those things, the area still enjoys small town charm and quiet roads. Plus, we back onto a beautiful natural area, and enjoy watching the deer and other wildlife that live nearby.
What makes this property unique
We're just a 1 minute drive from Radford University! We're also close enough to everything to be super convenient, but far enough away to keep that tranquility and quiet. It's a beautiful area. Come out and see for yourself sometime!
