The cabin was cozy and adorable! The grounds were beautiful and perfect for walks, and the furnace would make the house so toasty in the evenings. We loved how peaceful the area was and how friendly the towns people were. Nathan was a phenomenal host and we would recommend this property to our friends and family if they’re ever visiting the area!
Me and my husband had a great time! We brought our boat and left it at the marina. I must say, if you are bringing a boat or even the boat trailer…the road to this house is very steep & one very bad curve. So be careful!!!
The house was clean and really cute inside! Bed was very comfy but it was hot up in the loft. There is a window air conditioner up there, but we had to put a fan in front of it.
The house had everything we needed. We didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub because it was just too hot outside.
Thank you for hosting us! We had a great time!!
The property overall was fine and the internet worked well. The only complaint was that the hot tub seating area was stained or dirty…didn’t want to risk using it.
I really enjoyed staying at this property with my 2 dogs. It was easy to find, the check in was easy and the place is nice. The neighborhood is quiet. It is super close to Twin Knobs Campground and Cave Run Lake. Overall I give it a 10 out of 10. The hot tub was a really nice touch. Oh! And we were visited by a dog and goat on a walk together ❤️
Lola's cabin was great. We loved the wood detailing inside and it had everything we needed. The property was just off the beaten path in a quiet area, but close enough to Cave Run Lake, Daniel Boone National Forest & Morehead State University to give us plenty to do. Thanks for an awesome experience.
The cabin was really cute and very nicely decorated. The cabin itself was clean but the hot tub had black mildew around the top and the headrests were totally covered in mildew. We could not get WIFI even after contacting the host, it would come on for a few minutes then would shut down, totally unusable. We did enjoy our time anyway.
Our stay was just what we were looking for. Close to Cave Run Lake. Clean, well maintained, simple. Everything that you need is furnished. Lola was very pleasant and helpful. Communication with Lola was great!! fast replying!!
Cabin was not ready when we arrived. I contacted the owner and she quickly lined someone up to come clean it. The location was perfect for visiting with my son at MSU. The neighborhood was quiet and the cabin was perfect for our weekend get away.
Had to rush to Kentucky for a family emergency and am just never comfortable in a hotel. Contacted the host and was able to get in a few hours earlier making it far more comfortable for my mother and me. Would stay here again in a heart beat, hopefully next time for a more enjoyable trip to visit family.
As soon as we walked into the cabin, we were pleasantly surprised the attention to detail that they had in the decor. It definitely had the musky/fishing/hunting vibe going on. We really enjoyed it. For anyone pulling a longer boat, must sure you have a 4WD truck and go during the day. At night it was very dark, which was good because you are in the country.
We needed a place to stay during a family reunion weekend and this checked all the boxes. Good location to the lake and also into town. Overall nice, clean cabin. Beds were comfortable, shower was hot and had pressure, and the window a/c unitskept the cabin cool despite the 90+ degree heat and humidity.
No chance to try the hot tub, but it looked like a nice setting with some privacy. Too hot outside already.
Just a couple of things to be aware of is the road up to the cabin is a one lane with some tight turns and the drive way could be tricky for some. We had no problems with either, but some may. Also, I definitely would not leave smaller kids in the loft area without supervision because of the spacing between railing slats is a little wide and a smaller child could get through.
