From its industrial past as ‘Brewery Flats’ to its present status as an arts and culture hub, Inglewood is Calgary’s oldest and boldest neighbourhood. Centred along 9th Avenue, Inglewood’s west entrance is located at the significant confluence of the Elbow and Bow Rivers. The Bow River flows by on the north and east ends, the boundaries stretching to the neighbouring community of Ramsay to the south and CP Rail tracks to the north.

The neighbourhood boasts over 240 businesses, including shops, restaurants, boutiques, a broad spectrum of services, live music venues, craft breweries and eateries for residents and visitors alike.

Inglewood is the heart of Calgary’s Music Mile. It is also home to many festivals, including JazzYYC, Sunfest, Car Free Sundays Inglewood Night Market, Fringe Festival, Bleak Midwinter Film Festival, with multiple additional events being hosted in the community throughout the year.

This location is within walking distance or a short drive to many amenities.
1. Please respect the neighbours and the quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. There is a noise monitor in the unit that will test decibels throughout the day.

2. Neither parties nor events will be permitted on the property. The maximum occupancy for this unit cannot exceed more than 2 people.

3. There is no smoking permitted on the property including vapes. Any proof of smoking will result in a $300.00 fee for odour removal.

4. Although pets are permitted on the property we ask that you please keep them off the linens and furniture. Any excessive dog hair or damage will be charged to the guest's name on the reservation.

5. We provide high-quality hotel linens for our property and proper makeup removal cloths. Any stained linens will be charged to the guest.

6. Any items that are mistakenly left behind that you wish to have returned will be shipped via Cash on Delivery along with a $30.00 admin fee.

Sound and scent warning
The stay was fine other than the following. When we arrived after a long drive, we found our allocated parking space was taken up by machinery to fix the roof. So, we had to call to find an alternative location (it was suggested we park in a corner by the garbage bin). The dishwasher kept getting turned on accidently (the knob sticks out from the counter) but we couldn't stop it so had to call about this (this was a time of water restrictions due to water main break in Calgary). A repair person came and looked at it and said the electronics were not working so we handwashed dishes from then on. I was a bit taken aback when I was asked to put a load of towels on before we left, using the coin-operated machine in the building. We had a lot to pack to make the 10 am check out time and finding change (none was given for this purpose) was also an issue. Finally, the detergents were all heavily perfumed and I am allergic to these scents (I had to avoid as much as possible the cupboard where they were kept). I know many people with sensitivities and allergies to detergents, soaps, etc. so suggest non-scented ones be used instead. Most places do use unscented detergents but I have encountered these occasionally at AirBnBs. If you are sensitive to noise, the windows are not very soundproof and the building is close to the main railroad line coming in and out of Calgary so be forewarned.
