Beautiful scenery, large restful backyard surrounded by trees, with views out the back and a warm cozy interior! The cottage is often described as being quaint and quite restful inside. Furnished with antiques, art, books and warmth...it it full of character! Single bedroom is off the living room with a bath right next door. Main bedroom is on other side of home next to dining area and French doors leading to front drive and carport. Ikea kitchen cabinets with honed marble counters, just about anything you might need to prepare food! Gas range, washer and dryer, deck out back through the French doors and dining area right next to kitchen. Enjoy the calm and restful home with it's warm and relaxed interior. Home is not a good match for children due to mostly antiques and breakables around. Hardwood floors throughout the home with plush antelope pattern carpet in main bedroom and tile in both bathrooms.

As a native Dallasite, I made my way to DT Farmersville with it's quaint downtown, and Chaparral Bike trail 2 doors down! Large country back yard with lot's of trees and birds, or enjoy the warm interior and restful ambience.

Why they chose this property

If you like to walk to town, then this is the place for you! A wonderful coffee shop - 12 stories, several yarn shops, restaurants and other antique, boutiques and malls make DT Farmersville a fun place to explore! 1st Saturday Flea market is loads of fun and there are all kinds of vendors selling organic produce, antiques and just about anything you can think of . Other festivals happen throughout the year so just touch base with the Chamber of commerce and make your plans around events you enjoy! As a Realtor for the past 25 years, I happened upon this house about 10 years ago and I have to say, this is the favorite of all my homes I have lived in.

What makes this property unique

My beautiful antiques, interesting art on the walls and restful interior are some of the things many of my past guests comment on. Since I live in this house as well, I leave it to you to enjoy when it is booked and I either travel myself or visit my children or friends in Dallas. I have many books, magazine, art for you to visit or just take a walk around the yard and enjoy the scenery!
