Oceanfront Paradise Escape on the North Shore of Oʻahu. 30-Night Minimum Stay
Please Note: In accordance with Hawaiʻi regulations, this property is available for a minimum stay of 30 nights only. We kindly ask that you do not inquire about shorter stays, as we are unable to accommodate them. That said, this home is truly special, and with its competitive rate, many guests find it well worth booking for the full 30 days even if they can’t stay the entire time!
Welcome to The Compound, a beautifully renovated 4-bedroom, 3-bath oceanfront retreat located on nearly an acre of lush North Shore paradise. Step outside your door, stroll across the wide green lawn, and enter the ocean where you're virtually guaranteed to swim with sea turtles. With two surf breaks directly accessible from the property, as well as secluded, tourist-free snorkeling and swimming, this is a rare slice of coastal Hawai‘i you’ll never forget.
Cool off in the delightful oceanfront plunge pool, affectionately called the Onsen, a peaceful, protected spot to soak in the sea while watching the waves roll in.
Inside, the home is bright, breezy, and fully air-conditioned, offering modern comforts. Each of the four spacious bedrooms features either ocean or mountain views:
Primary Suite: California King bed, en-suite bath, direct ocean view
Bedroom 2: Queen bed, ocean view
Bedroom 3: Queen bed, ocean view
Bedroom 4: Queen bed, mountain view
Outdoor hot-water shower: ideal after a beach session. The expansive ocean-view deck is perfect for morning coffee, sunset cocktails, or simply relaxing with the sound of the surf.
Nicknamed “The Compound” because it shares land with a mirror-image home (a common style in Hawai‘i), the property still feels incredibly private and spacious.
You’re just minutes away from iconic surf spots like Waimea Bay (2 min), Pipeline, Chun’s Reef, and Laniakea, yet worlds away from the crowds.
This is not just a place to stay, it’s a place to experience. Whether you're working remotely, seeking a serene escape, or planning a long island adventure, this oceanfront gem is your home base for unforgettable days and starlit nights.

Best house on the North Shore, hands down! I can't rave about this property enough, what an amazing stay. This has got to be the best ocean views you can get in Hawaii. My girlfriend and I are surfers and we really enjoyed the 3 waves in the backyard. It's basically like having a private surf park as your yard... mind blowing! We didn't want to check out, and will definitely be back next year.
Also, the beds are super comfortable, I had the best sleep of my life. The place is clearly recently renovated because everything is so nice and new. The big modern kitchen was a highlight because we like to cook. I loved that the property is gated for privacy and the lawn is so spacious, you feel like royalty. We even saw whales while lying in bed.
Book it, you will be so happy you did.
This property shares a double or triple-sized lot with another property. There is a common lawn with no fences or boundary markings, so you have uninterrupted, breath-taking views of a large expanse of lawn and ocean. The view can be enjoyed at the picnic table by the ocean, in the living room, on the deck, and in each of the three ocean-facing bedrooms. In addition, the sounds of the surf are prominent, which my wife and others who stayed with us particularly enjoyed. When one can tear oneself away from the view and the ocean sounds, the property itself is delightful. The four bedrooms all have very comfortable beds. The kitchen is very well equipped. (There's a separate refrigerator for drinks). The living room has excellent light for reading. The location is great. Foodland (for groceries) is 1.7 miles, Haleiwa (for multiple restaurants) is less than 4 miles. We saw turtles and whales from the property, and watched surfers just off shore. Driving to the Banzai Pipeline (3.0 miles), we watched a professional surfing competition. There are many other activities close by. We took surfing lessons at a beach just before reaching Haleiwa, went kayaking (seeing rays) and standup paddle boarding in Haleiwa, went to the Toa Luau (the MC was great!), snorkeled, and swam. And then came back to that great view!Highest recommendation. Stay here if you can. I've already requested reservations for next year.
