We had extended family staying with us and this house was great. Everyone raved about how lovely the house was and they enjoyed the outdoor spa immensely.
Great location and a big house with a lot of beds. The house is somewhat dated, but overall well kept with plenty of space for our big group. I would stay there again for sure.
We enjoyed the lovely, spacious home. It was easy to ski out of the driveway then down the road, a slight up hill to get to the ski slope access trail. To return you have to ski down the road for maybe 0.3-0.4miles so definitely need lots of snow for that. Property management was super helpful/responsive.
This review is for Edelweiss Chalet, since we were moved to a different house since this one was under construction. Host was very helpful while we stayed which we really appreciated.
New part of house was really great. Hard to keep cool in middle of summer though for the upstairs.
Really liked the house and it worked well for our family. Driveway is steep and very slick with snow. With construction in the area, vehicles continued to park at entrance to drive which made it a bit scary leaving. Hopefully this is a short term problem.
The house and host were great. Everything we expected for our Steamboat ski trip. Slept great the beds were very comfortable and the sheets were soft. May seem like A small detail but a good night’s sleep after big day of skiing is the icing on the cake. The house was warm and cozy. We hosted a team dinner one night for our son’s snowboard team and the kitchen and large dining table was perfect for our group. The house had everything we needed and plenty of room.
This is an excellent location to host large groups. It's much bigger than it appears in the pictures - it can easily accommodate large groups with plenty of space for socializing but also quiet bedrooms for those who need privacy. The huge dining room table seats 14. Great deck and hot tub with beautiful views of the mountain and valley. Ski accessibility: Outbound: Walk 20 yards down the road for an access trail. Inbound: ski 15 yards beyond the Thunderhead lift and pick up a trail through the woods to the road. Then walk 7 minutes downhill to the house. Very easy. Property owner and management are very responsive and engaged. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with a large group.
