Woodland retreat

Adorable cabin with large deck was perfect for us six adults. We loved hopping in the hot tub and driving to the pond. Serene.

This place seems more appropriate for families with small children, so keep that in mind when booking. We really wanted to like this place and it was nice and has a lot of potential, but it needs a thorough deep cleaning and a few updates. There was lots of dust on the bedroom ceilings, the cabin had a musty smell, and the dishes and silverware were grimy. The hot tub also needed attention. The water level was low, with grime inside and what looked like food stains around the rim. The beds and couch were very uncomfortable and had scratchy pillows. Much of the outdoor furniture has cushions, so after it rained they were unusable the rest of our trip. There were also fallen trees near the parking / driveway area and more trees fell whenever it rained.  The listing could also be clearer: the “private lake” was a pond over a mile away and was not within easy walking distance. The listing only has a note on the images, so it doesn’t seem appropriate to list private lake in the title. The washer and dryer are also in a separate building that is not pictured. With a deep cleaning, hot tub maintenance, and some furniture upgrades, this could be a much nicer stay.

Girls trip

Was a great location. Very private lots of birds and wildlife beautiful wooded area. If you are looking for a place to just get away and relax this is the place. The beds are more on the firm side. The out door furniture is nice but it rained the day before we arrived so cushions took a day to dry out.The property manager is very responsive to any issues.

Glamping at its finest… a true connect to nature

We had a wonderful time... camp fires, grilling, fishing, hot tubbing, went running for a couple of miles on site, trail walks, cow petting (yep we stopped at a random house and asked), went to High Falls state park two days (playground one day and the falls hike today). And just a lot of rest and relaxation. So many funny stories we could share that made us realize we would never do a tent in the middle of the woods. ha Saw a couple of deer, lots of spiders a bunch of ants, cows, donkeys... you name it. Amazing property… great hosts.

The cabin is really small. When booking it said it sleeps six. Which makes you think bigger. You don't have any where to sit inside other than one futon sofa / bed. Four round small hard top stools at small dining table. That is all to sit on. very uncomfortable. It said to clean up after your pets. there was dog poop on the ground in the front. no smoking and there were cigarete buts in front on ground. Couldn't use out door furniture because all cushions soaking wet. We had wash all dishes in cabinet before use they were greasy. If planning on using grill you need to bring grill tools to cook with and a brush to be able to clean grate. The property was secluded which was nice.
