Great view of the lake and location. We enjoyed our stay and thought the house was great. Hooks and bench at entrance was perfect for ski jackets and pant.
Larry: thank you taking the time to submit your experience while staying at the Lake Placid Club Lodges. The size and location to main street make these a desirable rental property.
Please return to Lake Placid anytime, it’s a year round resort village.

We stayed in Unit 2. The unit was clean & nicely furnished. The kitchen was sufficiently supplied. We had 4 adults and were not crowded at all. The 2 full bathrooms were great. The location was good and we could easily get to Mirror Lake & town by foot. The views from the upper and lower decks were wonderful and watching the golfers was entertaining. For me the best aspect of the unit was the quiet; no real outside noise & no noise from adjoining units.
We really enjoyed our stay. Check in and check out were super easy. Townhouse was clean, easy walking to town, quiet area. Quick drive to lacrosse fields and things to do.

This is a great place off the main track but still walking distance to everything in town. The property is older but very well maintained. Would definitely stay again!
Really enjoyed our stay. Great location and place was immaculately clean. Would stay again in a heart beat

Don: I appreciate your kind words describing the experience you had.
This is a great property in a prime location in the village.
Welcome back anytime. Winter is a winter wonderland.

The condo was lovely - a pleasure to come back to between outdoor "activities." My teenagers didn't want to leave! My only quibble is that the listing said the unit included a washer/dryer. It does not. There is a coin-operated washer/dryer elsewhere on the property. Perhaps I misread the listing.

Carol;
I am pleased you had a good time and enjoyed the unit. In all the literature, there is no mention of a washer dryer in the units. There is a laundromat located in the Algonquin Lodge, where you checked in, that is available 24 hours a day.

We enjoyed being able to be on Lake Placid’s Main Street within a minute’s walk. It was a lovely place to watch the sunset and a nice large table for playing games and sharing meals as a family. The kitchen is very simply accommodated, so I would be sure you buy or bring salt and pepper, sugar, cooking oil, etc. as little to none of these staples are provided. We hope to go back!
Good location, convenient to everything. Walk to town. Condo is very spacious with beautiful views of Mirror Lake and mountains. Front desk very helpful, communication with owner/manager was great.

Timeshare Surprise
The property location was good.
We didn’t realize when we rented that this is not a lived in property but a time share. It was bad enough that we had to buy wood for the fireplace, but there were no matches in the unit to start the fire. When I called and asked about there being no matches I was told by the front desk of the property that they ran out. Pathetic. Many rules to follow. Had lo leave cabinets open under all of the sinks to keep the pipes from freezing. I wonder if the owners ever tried to actually address the issue. There was a bare minimum of plates and glasses. I’m actually surprised there were coffee filters. Nothing in the refrigerator when we got there (condiments, etc) and we were instructed to leave nothing behind.
The amenities were absolutely amazing!!! The view, the active fireplace, the PERSONAL SAUNA not even advertised, the jetted tub, and the local atmosphere were all to die for! For these reasons, we'll absolutely come back. The local Pub was a great place to go and feel like locals.
But....
The couch was stiff, the queen bed was stiff, the twin beds were stiff, the pillows were flat. There was no air movement in either bedroom. The common area had good airflow and the pull out bed, although not the best, was the most comfortable of the house. Beds were too firm for my husband and me and we slept uncomfortably and separately.
The open floor plans and overall ambiance was great but the sleeping situation is not for everyone.

Alyssa;
Thank you for your response. So sorry to hear the mattresses not being to your expectations. The property operates with a 1.2 million dollar budget, all mattress, carpets and furnishings are replaced every 5 years. I will forward this to the board so they may take this request into consideration when replacing mattresses in the next few years. Gary.
