A beautiful home, well stocked with wverything needed for a comfortable stay within walking distance of town, the river and the AT. Clean and absolutely charming.
The cabin is such a unique and historically special place! It has everything you need and more (the hot tub is well maintained and truly relaxing). The proximity to downtown and the AT is perfect; you are only a few steps away. It's a great spot, my husband and I enjoyed our stay, and we look forward to staying again.
It was a wonderful visit to Hot Springs for the first time! We loved how close the house was to town and the AT, as well as accessibility to many other trails! We enjoyed the character and history of the older house, and the quaintness of the town. It was a highly relaxing getaway, which is just what we needed. We certainly would return for another enjoyable weekend!
Host was very helpful, place was so nice and cozy, everything functioned well, and the house was a great location that made it fun and easy to enjoy the town! Can’t wait to stay there again in the future!
I will be back. The world seems like such a mess and this was the perfect antidote! Peace. Quiet. Everything you need and the perfect porch for totally relaxing in the rocker with a beverage. Great communication and personal care. A for sure!
This place is perfect for a relaxing getaway! It’s well-equipped, in a beautiful area, and Melanie, the host, is super knowledgeable of the area. The town is rebuilt well after Helene with some fun things to do and lots of natural beauty, but you might not even want to leave the house with the connectivity, games, books, and hot tub.
Cannot say enough great things about this special place! We absolutely loved staying in this historic log cabin and visiting the resilient town of Hot Springs. The cabin was cozy and comfortable with all the amenities we needed and more. The host was welcoming and thought of everything you may need. We loved the location and being able to walk into town and being right on the AT. This is one of my favorite stays ever.
We had a great stay! The house was very clean and communication was fantastic when we had a couple of questions. The home is very authentic to the time period it was built. We didn't know prior to our visit that Hot Springs is actually part of the Appalachian Trail which added some interesting sights to visit.
The home was lovely and had all amenities needed for a comfortable stay. It was close to town and the people in Hot Springs are so friendly. It was a great getaway!

Wow! You discovered one of the best features of the Chestnut Log Cabin; the rocking chair front porch! Many guests consider relaxing on this front porch their special happy place! It is so great to park your car when you arrive and step right onto the Appalachian Trail and walk to the town of Hot Springs, restraurants and the natural mineral baths. Please return soon.
We had a really great time here. The cabin is nicely situated on the edge of town and is nice and quaint. The hot tub is great and the front porch is great for sitting and hanging out.
Came in a week early to spend some time exploring the area before attending a wedding at the Magnolia House. Although the area is still making a comeback from the hurricane, we were able to try Vinyl Pizza, the diner and the brewery in town when not out enjoying some good front porch sitting! Cabin was well equipped. We used the hot tub once which was awesome! Very relaxing stay.
loved fire pit, mountain views, & hot tub and adored old unique historical home

Thanks for taking advantage of our weekly special rate at Chestnut Log Cabin. What a 'away from it all' feeling with the added features of secured wi-fi, Direct TV, outdoor hot tub, full kitchen and rocking chair front porch! And if your looking for a close walk to town just off the Appalachian Trail, this is it!
We enjoyed our stay in hot springs! A charming home just a short walk into town and an even shorter walk to the Appalachian trailhead. The jacuzzi was nice after an afternoon of hiking!
Had a great time at this property on a weekend getaway. The weather caused some havoc but made it an adventure and enjoyed the small town and walking to get breakfast and the small shops.
