Wonderful stay, perfect mini vacation spot

We had a lovely stay, the place is quaint and clean. Truly a nice, peaceful spot to stay when you want to escape from the world, put your feet up and relax for a while.

Family getaway

Relaxing and kid friendly. The grandkids had a blast swimming and playing games all weekend. We all relaxed and enjoyed being together.

Great hose on the water. Beware the path to the dock is 90° straight down. Bring a golf cart!

Property needs a bit of maintenance. The floors are spongy in the second bathroom and in the bedrooms on the same side. I hope it gets fixed. I would love to stay again next year but we were afraid of the shower at that end. The dock is wonderful we had two bass boats docked there.

Loved it! Great deck!

Our family greatly enjoyed our visit. We loved the uniqueness of the house and the back deck was great. It had everything we needed. We had plenty of room. The path to the dock is a bit steep, but we managed. It was worth the walk. The boat house and dock were very nice too. The only downside was that some of us only had cell service through Wi-Fi inside. No service outside, but that also seems to be "life at the lake". And not having service can be a blessing sometimes. We'd love to stay again sometime.

A comforting slice of heaven on Lake Gaston

Our mom just recently passed away and needed time to relax and rejuvenate post saying our fond farewells to a beautiful woman. Tracie's lakefront cottage offers a sweet vintage boho lakeside vibe that is extremely cute and comfortable! It boasts all you need for a gathering, plenty of gathering spaces, game room, screened porches, a lakeside deck with a tin roof that is soothing when it rains, and a kitchen that has everything one needs for cooking and serving. A previous review mentioned soft flooring in areas, and while that is true (it's an older home), it was easy to navigate and did not impact our stay at all. This lake house truly provided a cozy respite that we will be happy to rent again! Thank you! :)

House was what the ad said. The only thing was that we had to pay to use the Beach Area - very expensive either 10 a car load per day or 10 per person per day. The steep hill to the doc was scary - the back porch was not suitable for small children, due to the large openings around the railing of the porch. I feel that you should put a gate up at the stairs going down - in an awkward area. If you are not watching your small child they could go down the stairs fast. But as for the they house itself it had everything you need to enjoy your time at the Lake - we stayed for 2 weeks and did not need to purchase anything to cook with, clean with, and had plenty to keep you entertained. Ended up only have 4 of us and 2 dogs stay at the house. But we really enjoyed it. Lucky we had a pontoon boat instead of a sports boat. Cove was a little low in some areas. House was very clean and smelled amazing. Pool was to expense to use on top of the beach area so we didn't do the pool. I think they said it was 7 per child per day. Lake water was better. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your home for our 2 weeks of vacation. Quiet area and dogs enjoyed it also.
