Lovely little house tucked into the Gulf coastline, with water views from every angle, even when you are preparing meals for family in the kitchen. I fell asleep to the sound of the waves and watched the moon and sun rise from bed. Private, beachfront, ample space, and a gracious host.

This property is incredibly private with no public beach or public access around. We arrived and the house was completely stocked even with an inviting lunch and wine. There were many comfortable spaces to relax inside and outside. The beds were comfortable, the towels were thick. Once we figured out to time our swims during high tide when the rocks were covered and hunt for shells and shark teeth during low tides, we had it made. The outdoor shower was excellent for getting sand off of you before coming back inside. Frank was an attentive host and kept in communication throughout our stay. And boy were the sunsets incredible. Can’t wait to return!

Paradise!

Casey Key is a majestic slice of paradise and FJ’s home is magnificent. I am reluctant to emphasize my overwhelming pleasure because I’d like to stay there again and again. It was that special!

Excellent anniversary trip

Frank is a great host. The house and location are wonderful. Although the weather didn't cooperate with us for half of the trip due to a hurricane in the gulf, we made the best of our stay. The pool and private beach are a plus. The house was fully stocked, so we didn't have to make many trips to the store. Thanks again Frank!

Amazing vacation home

Beautiful private beach the views were amazing from the patio and inside the house whether you were waking up, eating at the table, lounging on couch or cooking. House very well stocked and all you needed for preparing meals. Great little nooks for reading or just relaxing in the house. Comfortable mattress, the towels super soft thick and wonderful. The outdoor shower was amazing to rinse off and the hot tub was welcome for the late evenings after super. We saw dolphins daily and the first vacation where we never left the house except a grocery store stop which was less than a mile and to eat out once at nearby .4 miles Casey Key restaurant. Host had everything prepared and a wonderful meal when we got there with fresh homemade sourdough my favorite bread, fresh flowers and a lovely welcome. Definitely a vacation spot worth revisiting. Host was attentive and made sure everything was in working order. 10 out of 10 vacation spot.

Peace and quiet

Even better than advertised. Privacy meant we saw no one else on our section of the beach, and almost never anyone else down the shoreline. Turtle nests marked next door were a bonus. Kitchen stocked and well-equiped. Manager/owner responsive and charming in person.

Our best family vacation ever!

Five of us -- my wife, our two young adult offspring, and son-in-law -- spent 9 wonderful days at Casey Key to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. The beachfront property is open, homey, and comfortable. The beach itself is very isolated and the ocean mesmerizing. Sunsets are a treat! Dolphins were seen as were pipers, egrets, and pelicans. There are many wonderful restaurant and take out options nearby, as well as grocery options. We all had a wonderful and restful time and look forward to returning next year!

The Perfect Vacation!

This was a dream vacation for our family, and we will cherish the memories forever. The owner of the property, Frank, was the most hospitable, and genuine host we’ve ever met. Amazing piece of paradise - perfect in every way!

This home is incredible! The pictures don’t do it justice. The views are spectacular and the deck is right at the gulf’s edge. The pool can be heated and is sparkling clean. The kitchen is new and has all the supplies you could possibly want. Frank’s hospitality is unsurpassed! The home is stocked with food and condiments, and Frank met us there with flowers and delish jerk chicken from a local vendor - we were blown away by the welcome and abundant provisioning. Bikes provide a great ride up and down Casey Key. We hope to come back soon!

A Private Piece of Paradise

We have stayed at few places before, but this property beats them all. It was exactly what we were looking for. House is located on a quiet street with heated pool and a private beach. Sunsets were to die for and dolphin sightings were frequent. It is in a short walking distance to nearest restaurant with fresh seafood and short drive to closest stores. Hosts went above and beyond when preparing for our stay. Kitchen was fully stacked with anything you could imagine and much more. We felt like at home from the first moment we stepped inside. Owners were super nice, friendly and available to answer any questions we had. We hope to be back in nearest future. Thank you for sharing this incredible place with our family.

Overballba very enjoyable stay. The chicken salad and bread was a distinctive plus, Thanks. The stocked refrigerator also very nice! As discussed with the host, the outside grill was not clean and very rusty. Pool appeared very cloudy, and there were questions around heating cost? Took us awhile to figure out the TV, too many remotes. Some place mats, trays and small outside tables would be a good addition. The location was terrific, the beach nice, albaeit a little rocky for swimming and a bit cold. Great sunsets!!! Well stocked kitchen. Overall a great visit and with these minor fixes would come again, in March next time.

Summer like no other

Thank You Frank for allowing families to enjoy this home !!! The house was super clean, inviting and well stocked like none I’ve ever been too. We rent every year near the beach but this was the first where the beach was our back yard and we had a bonus with the pool and outdoor shower. Frank was quick to respond with any concerns and gave great advise for places to eat a must try the fish house down the road where the food was excellent. Everything in the house works and there’s plenty of space and sitting areas to spread out. The beds smelled great and were very comfortable. Frank has plenty of towels and even makes sure there is extras of everything. The kitchen has everything you need to make a great meal with a view. The photos can’t relay the beauty of this piece of paradise. We hope to visit again….soon.

A time for ...

We’re busy people, so time away is an unusual gift, especially at our lovely vacation home by the sea. The view from every window at the back of the house is nourished of its calming cadence and majestic expanse. Walks on the very private beach that shares its vibrancy with birds fishing, dolphins methodically feeding, and glistening crabs sunning at waters edge, are daily bread. The warm coastline breezes caress the skin turned tawny color and the tongue with saltwater fare, catchable most any day from a backyard cast westward. Our home, luxuriously simple and absent the clutter of stored things, wants nothing in creature comforts from a gourmet kitchen to comfy beds in carpeted sleeping quarters, and a pristine pool. We are pleased so many guests have found our home the respite we too enjoy when returning to it. We welcome guests with hospitality that honors their choice of CKBH, blessed that so many are eager to return, while making friends of neighbors. great potential but beach & other frustrations made it one to forget rather than remember.

Property has an amazing location near the Casey Key Fish Restaurant (also with great tiki bar & boat rental / boat taxi service). Whilst old and only maintained to a basic / old fashioned level, it is nice 3 bed place with a small pool and everything that you need including groceries, towels, toys for kids, games etc (washer/dryer/fridge/dishwasher) etc all new. The main reason we picked the house was to enjoy the private beach that is around 800 ft long and only used by 3 or 4 houses. Otherwise the high price (over 750 a day in peak) wouldn't make sense for an old unstylish house. Unfortunately we had a significant "red ride effect" whilst we were there with 50-100 dead fish being washed up on the beach each day and one rough sea day with 300+ dead fish covering the beach. The sea removed the 50-100 dead fish but not the other fish, so that after a couple of days there were rotting fish all with the associated problems (terrible smell, flies, scavenger animals etc). We didn't get any help from the home-owner, so we had to clean up the rotting fish ourselves because the smell was so bad, plus the associated risks to our kids especially our 18 month year old. The home-owner was nice but a little intrusive, coming by too many times, and we were expected to do our own pool servicing, accommodate him showing prospective renters around, & have construction during our stay. Also owner reengaged on pre-arranged late checkout & tried to circumvent vrbo and add extra fees etc

A Little Bit of Heaven

An absolutely fantastic home with everything we could have asked for in a tropical getaway. Wake up in the morning to spectacular Gulf views. Spend days swimming, sunning, fishing. or just sitting on the sun deck watching the dolphins and the waves. Everything you need for all the above is here. Chairs, umbrellas, towels. If the sun gets to be a bit much, head back to the house, dip in the pool, cool off, enjoy a late afternoon margarita, and wait on the sunset. The home is beautifully appointed, with with top shelf appliances. Frank is an amazing host, always available. We had high expectations based on the pictures and conversations with Frank but all expectations were exceeded. Of note, the house and refrigerator were stocked with food and drinks, and Frank and Carla left a welcome bottle of wine with flowers on the dining table. There are several restaurants and Tiki bar in very short walking distance but this home is located within easy driving distance of attractions in Venice and Sarasota...without the congested feel of Lido or Siesta Key. We would never stay anywhere else in this area. My dad's birthday was the reason multiple family members gathered in the area. All who visited this spectacular home were wowed by the house layout and the beautiful private beach 25 steps from your patio door. We look forward to the opportunity to return. We can't thank you enough Frank.

Great Private Beach house for social distancing

My family and I spent a week at the beach house in Casey Key and had a blast. The host was very nice and made sure we had everything needed for our stay. The location was perfect with the ocean in the backyard. My kids and I had fun swimming all day while my husband fished off the shore. We brought our 2 dogs and they loved swimming and fishing as well. The only complaints were that the AC was not very cool during the hottest part of the day and the beach was small because the decking on the beach was damaged from a previous storm. But my family made do and we had a peaceful, isolated getaway from the pandemic. We will definitely consider coming back again!!

Perfect Getaway

This was a family vacation. We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful location. Loved the short path to beach, pool and that everything was provided that we would need. Beach towels, pool floats, beach items etc. Many yummy restaurants nearby. No traffic, quiet neighborhood, relaxing beach, private backyard with pool and grocery store less than 5 min away. This vacation was much needed & we wished we could have stayed 2 wks instead of 1. If budget allows we hope to vacation at this home or casey key area next year!

Truly idyllic!

This place and the wonderful hosts were amazing!! The pictures don't do it justice and it was everything we hoped for in a relaxing get-away , and more! The host was very accommodating and quick to respond to any inquiries. Upon our arrival we were greeted by fresh flowers, wine, and a tranquil setting on a private beach. The path to the beach is beautifully landscaped. there were so many places to enjoy the outdoors, from the pool, to the deck on the beach, and the hammocks hanging under the deck and looking out at the gulf. The house is open, clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped with most everything you need to create your own meals. We were blessed with great weather and lovely sunsets:) It was a true vacation and so peaceful and restful! We are grateful for the time there and only wish it had not passed so quickly! We hope to go back whenever time and budget allow:) Thanks for sharing your lovely slice of paradise!

Perfect!

We've only been here three days so far and it's amazing! The pictures on VRBO do not do this house justice. The home owners have been equally amazing. In the short time we've been here we have managed to pester them a number of times. The quick and very helpful responses are above and beyond the call. The property is more then we had hoped for. Last night we watched the sun set from the deck twenty feet from the ocean, again... amazing! We will, more then likely, post another review when our stay is over.

Peace on Earth

We just spent an incredibly relaxing 10 days in Casey Key. I can't recommend enough how relaxing, peaceful and utterly idyllic this location was for all of us.We were 2 couples, 55+, with our 2 dogs. The home is situated on a very private beach, just a few steps from the house. I can count on 1 hand the number of people we saw walking by us on the beach during our stay. Between the beautiful weather, the wild life and the tranquil surf, we all thought we had died and gone to heaven! The home was immaculately clean and had everything imaginable in the fully-stocked kitchen, for recreation outdoors or some quiet reading in the pool area. The owners have covered it all! If I had 1 small criticism, it would be the beds. When you're older a good night's sleep is a must so sadly, it wasn't always easy to get a restful sleep. The mattresses seemed a little old, especially the 2nd bedroom. Despite that, the owner was a delight to deal with, very gracious and accommodating at all times. Casey Key is exquisite---come visit peace on Earth! You won't regret it!
