Guest Access:
Guests can access the entire cabin as well as our playground and communal spaces on the resort property.
There is a community firepit as well as horseshoe pits and cornhole games in front of the Grand Lodge.
The Lobby, located at the front of the property by Fall River Road, offers a paid guest laundry room, pamphlets for local attractions, and a coffee bar. You can access the door with your cabin code.
The Neighborhood:
Fall River Road has access to Rocky Mountain National Park's north entrance and is lined on each side of the street with cabins and resorts. Even so, this area is in the remote Rocky Mountains and feels very secluded. We often have wild animals such as deer and elk on our property.
Getting Around:
The easiest way to get around is by car. You do not need four wheel drive to access the property. There is free parking near the cabin. We are only minutes from one of the entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park.
The roads in Amberwood are paved and may be slick when it is icy or snowy. We do our best to keep them clear for you!
The city of Estes Park runs a shuttle in the summer months and there is a stop within walking distance to the cabins.
Other Things to Note:
We are in the wilderness of Colorado. There are bears, elk, deer, sheep and numerous other wild animals that also call the mountains home. Respect their space and do not keep any trash or food outside unattended. We have an animal proof dumpster on our property for any trash.
Do not feed the wildlife! It is illegal to feed any wildlife in Colorado and you could get a fine. This includes deer, elk, birds, bears and rodents! Thank you!

The stay was overall very good. The location is really nice, and there are quite a few amenities on site. We didn't like that all bedroom doors didn't have locks and that the sliding doors for the bathrooms were not adjusted to lock even though locks existed.

This was a good place to stay close to all the attractions, but far enough to be peaceful. I was able to bring my dog, which was a big plus.

Thank you for the great review! We’re so glad the location was perfect for both relaxation and access to attractions, and it’s wonderful to hear your dog enjoyed the stay too. We’d love to host you again anytime!
Wonderful location. Well stocked beautiful cabin. Nice to have grill with utensils, crockpot and storage containers for leftovers. The TV does require streaming service so make sure to bring your passwords. Very comfortable beds and linens including the day bed. Plenty closer space. Loved having portable fans. The only thing maybe could be added is dishcloth for kitchen and few more kitchen towels but definitely didn’t hinder our stay. Would definitely stay again. Elk come right on the property! Amazing. Very responsive host as well
Exactly as advertised! This is a fabulous cabin that worked perfectly for our family of 5 (couple with 3 adult children). It had everything we needed. Loved the extra towels! Loved sitting on the little outdoor porch area with our pup! I would definitely return!

We absolutely enjoyed our weekend stay in this wonderful cabin! It is beautifully updated and clean, was spacious for our group of four and has a lovely kitchen. The host was very responsive. We would definitely love to stay here again!
This property was a perfect pick for our group. It had all the amenities we needed and had a nice modern interior. Host was always quick to respond to any questions. Location is a quick drive to the park and town. Wifi was very helpful as cell signal is spotty and allowed for streaming.

Thank you for your kind words! I’m delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay at the Amberwood Cabin and found both the interior and exterior beautiful. It’s great to know that communication was seamless. We hope to have the pleasure of hosting you again!
The cabin was modern, renovated, absolutely beautiful! Large kitchen, large dining table, King size beds and bathrooms were elegant! Smaller size deck but very cozy with BBQ gas grill. Recommend staying! Only small complaint is cabin is near road, if you leave the windows open for fresh mountain air, you can hear the cars. Otherwise wonderful stay!

Thank you for the thoughtful review! We're so glad you enjoyed the beautifully renovated cabin, spacious layout, and cozy deck—it sounds like it was a great fit overall. We appreciate you noting the road noise with the windows open, and we’ll be sure to keep that in mind for future improvements. We'd love to welcome you back anytime for another relaxing mountain stay!
Truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. Cabin 3 is absolutely gorgeous and is nicely stocked with everything you need. Absolutely the best communication with property manager! It was also gret that we could bring our dogs along! Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this property!
