Great stay for the price! Location is excellent, and the views are gorgeous. Lovely deck and patio. We saw lots of black bears. Wears Valley has lots of fun shopping and good coffee shops as well. Loved being 5 minutes from the national park!Best to note that kitchen is quite small, with no pantry space for food. It’s hard to cook in. There are no extra blankets besides the comforters, so plan accordingly. The host provides very minimally for things like dish soap, laundry soap, trash bags, paper towels, etc. You will need to bring your own. Also, there is no gas grill, unlike what the photos depict. All these inconveniences were minor things we were able to work around.Overall 4 stars for the location, cleanliness, and views. Good for the price.

WOW! Impressive Property & Views

Clean & spacious property inside and out! Hottub was wonderful after a day of exploring. Every amenity included! Views of the mountains are breathtakingly beautiful as are the sunsets from the enormous deck. If we could give more than 5 stars we would.

The cabin is in a wonderful location. There were several nice restaurants, a small brewery, ice cream and a Dollar General only a few minutes away. We took a lot of day trips and most things we wanted to do were 30 minutes or less away. We could have also simply stayed in the cabin the whole trip and enjoyed the gorgeous sunsets and the lovely, clean hot-tub. It really is a nice space. We are a family of 5 and had everything we needed to cook meals and enjoy our stay. The kitchen is small, but well stocked with pans and dished, and has updated appliances. The bathrooms and beds were super clean (but tv's, table light fixture, fans and such were extremely dusty.) My only other complaint is the outlets are very outdated and loose. It was difficult to find outlets for phone chargers to stay in. Overall we truly did enjoy our stay and the home. There were plenty of towels and toilet paper for our 3 night stay. That is always appreciated! We would stay again.

Cute cabin with lots of potentialGreat location. Multiple porches are fabulous.Decor is dated. Seems to be a lot of things that were used by someone else before they were put there - especially the pots and pans - couldn’t tell if some pots were old or dirty; there is no cookie sheet, no casserole dish - only plates and cereal bowls - no serving bowls, only 1 teaspoon (many large spoons) in the silverware. A manual can opener would be helpful. While the cabin is surface clean, a deep cleaning is needed - lots of dust - especially blinds and fans. The windows are very much in need of cleaning. The kitchen table chairs/bench are in need of repair and paint. We were left 2 bath towels in one of the bedrooms for 2 adults for 4 nights. There was one pod of washing machine detergent so washing towels was not an option without a grocery run. There were 2 packs of dishwasher powder and since we had to run the dishwasher as we checked out, the 1 other dishwasher packet was not enough. Seems like little things but they really added up.

Beautiful view and we saw bears

Very nice and quiet. Thankfully we had smaller vehicles and quiet neighbors. We didn't realize there were other cabins so close by. Not very private at all plus lots and lots of outside light during the night. But it was nice all in all. We just prefer more private.

Cabin on Jake Ridge

Layout of the cabin was great, views amazing, loved the two back decks. Spent a lot of time on the them, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. The challange was the age and condition of the cabin. Very large gaps in the flooring, especially in the master bedroom on the main level. Had to wear shoes in the house to avoid stubbing toes or taking a chunk out of your foot. Both myself and my boyfriend were locked in the bathroom due to a faulty door knob, me for 1 minute, him for 5 full minutes. I had to take the door handle apart to get him out. The management company was highly responsive and had it fixed immediately. No room in the shower or place to put any toiletries while showering. We rented the cabin for the amazing side porch, expected to be out there daily, enjoying meals, having a fire at night. Several wooden pieces of furniture were full of carpenter bees because several pieces were untreated wood. We were dive bombed while out there and you could literally hear them gnawing on the wood. I know they are beneficial to the environment so we didn’t say anything but we couldn’t use the side patio at all. Then a bear attacked the swing directly across from our patio to get to the carpenter bees. I would be very concerned they will be coming for the patio furniture next. This could be a big safety issue. We saw three different bears while there all very close to the cabin which was awesome however … if we could hear the bees, I’m sure they can as well.

Positives: seamless check in, beautiful views, great hot tub, huge patio, several bear sightings, loved having access to a pool just a short drive away. Negatives: Cabin is in need of so many repairs and it needs a DEEP clean immediately. We had BAD water pressure issues, (3 showers but only one can be used at a time), kitchen lacking a lot of needed items-several items unusable as well, lots of old miscellaneous items have been left from previous renters making a lot of areas trashy and unusable as well. Most of the outlets are unusable and very loose. Mold on master shower curtain and in the jets of the master jacuzzi tub. We had to deal with a hornets nest before we could use the fire pit and we had to clean before fully unpacking. It’s currently a little better than we found it. I honestly could go on but plan to send a list to the owner. Overall, we did have an amazing time but the property is definitely overpriced considering the current condition it is in.
